Below deck vibes and an amazing 2nd chance story

Where shall I begin... When I saw that Love Overboard had Below Deck vibes with angst. I had to read it. I am a sucker for a good guilty pleasure reality show and Kandi Steiner has succeeded in putting this feeling onto the page. Ember and Flynn are two exes that find themselves on the same charter yacht after two years apart and not having spoken after their hard break up. Neither knows the other has signed up to be part of the show and when they do see each other, you can tell that there is definitely unfinished business between them. The way you get to see their story unfold between interviews with fellow castmates and Ember's perspective was such fun. It was also a great way to get to know all of the people that work together day in and out. The tension between Ember and Finn was top notch and had me turning page after page to see what they would face next, especially since Finn has a girlfriend who rooms with Ember. The dynamics between everyone on board were so well thought out. And the way they all had to keep it together during all of the crazy requests from their charter passengers was so fun. Do yourself a favor and read Love Overboard! You won't regret it.

Finn & Ember will live rent free in your mind :

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 /5 spice It’s truly so good! Thank you Kandi, for allowing me to be one of the arc readers! This book has it all, it was messy, and angsty, and you couldn’t help but fall in love with them! Ember and Finn are exes from a couple years back, they find themselves on the same crew & work alongside each other. Finn has a new girl, they met previously & she was there for him when ember couldn’t be (we don’t like her) Ember never truly moved on from Finn, there was a part in the book where you think she will get with another crew member and then Finn finally wakes up. They are the couple you hope that ends up together and gets there happily ever after. I’m so happy this book ends with that! Finn is everything I could hope for, truly is amazing for ember!

Perfect Summer Read!

Kandi Steiner delivers a masterclass in high-stakes angst with Love Overboard. Inspired by the messiness of reality TV like Below Deck, the story uses a "production-style" narrative that is pure genius. This unique structure provides an immersive look at the drama through the eyes of Finn, Ember, and the supporting cast, making the forced proximity and second-chance tropes feel entirely fresh. While I would have loved a few more flashbacks to deepen the leads' history, the emotional tension was top-tier. Steiner excels at ripping your heart out and tenderly mending it back together. If you’re looking for a perfect summer read for the pool or beach, this is it. It’s messy, emotional, and impossible to put down. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. I struggled to read this one at first due to my distaste for reality TV. However, this book ended up being such a good palate cleanser and so so good. My biggest gripe was the singular point of view. I was truly not prepared for that. Overall, it was a lovely book, and I can’t wait to read whatever Kandi writes next.

Amazing!

Absolutely amazing audio! The narrators, Hannah Chiclana and Walker Williams, did a phenomenal job with all the accents and the emotions were perfect. I could feel all the pain, angst, heartbreak, and happiness just as deep as the characters on the pages. Finn and Ember’s connection could not be broken and their path to fully reigniting those feelings is a roller coaster you must listen to.
