Lucas Sideboard Brown - Crosley: Rustic Mid-Century Modern Buffet with Adjustable Shelves, Drawers, Hardwood Frame

Product is very sturdy. Was fairly easy to assemble, but definitely requires 2 people. Perfect for storage and fits our space well.

I bought three pieces, and I'm very disappointed on this particular item. The picture on the website makes it look like a real veneer, but it feels like cardboard. The composite wood falls apart easily.

It has some imperfections.

I ordered the Lucas Sideboard on August 14, 2024, but the item got lost in the mail. Target was very responsive and provided a free replacement when I contacted them on August 24, and the replacement arrived on August 29. While I appreciated Target's effort in sending a replacement, the whole process took longer than expected, and the sideboard arrived with a damaged box and minor scratches. Instead of returning it, I decided to fix the scratches myself using a black pen, which did a good job of hiding them. The piece arrived with all the necessary tools except for a Philips screwdriver. Assembly was relatively easy but time-consuming. However, the legs required specific alignment that wasn’t mentioned in the manual. I wish they had provided detailed instructions on this, as I had to figure it out through trial and error, which was frustrating and added unnecessary time to the assembly process. Another thing that was not mentioned in the manual was the gaps alignment between drawers and cabinets. This should be done by adjusting the rubber screws at the bottom of the legs. I know this because I assembled another unit from Target that had that instruction written in the manual. Another issue was the strong chemical odor emitting from the unit and the warning sign sticker on the back, which wasn’t mentioned on the website. This was a concern for me, and I wish I had known about it beforehand. For safety, I recommend keeping the sideboard in a well-ventilated area with all drawers and cabinets open for at least a day before placing it in a closed space. Despite these issues, I do think the sideboard is sturdy and has a beautiful design and size that fits everything I needed to store. However, I would advise others to purchase at your own risk. Personally, I wouldn’t have bought it if the warning sign had been visible on the website.

Good quality besides the bottom legs, they did not assemble well

This is all MDF and the "veneer" on this is basically a very thin layer of paper that rips right off at the lightest touch. Basically this is the worst quality piece of furniture I have ever purchased, and I wish I hadn't wasted my money, even on sale.

I wanted to love this. It’s a very nice looking piece of furniture. Unfortunately, when you close one of the cabinet doors, the top of the door scrapes the top part of the dresser. Also, the gaps between the drawers are not the same, which makes me think the drawers aren’t in the proper place. I tried switching the drawers around, but nothing helps. All of the gaps are different from one another, which looks wrong. I’m so annoyed we paid this price, built it, and are stuck with a messed up looking price of furniture.
