Ali nedugo zatim, dolazi majka zečica, moleci za pomoc. Njezina upornost pobjeđuje nevoljkost mace iscjeliteljke vodeci je kroz nocnu snjeznu oluju i britki led. U mračnoj sumi Celesse se suočava s jezivim iznenađenjem i prisiljena je upotrijebiti svoje moci.
