Look at the picture, my baby teared one flap of them and I can’t find the missing pieces. It probably eaten by her! The concept is good but the paper board it use is too thin for baby. Not safe at all!

This book got good reviews but I’m not sure why. The concept is ok I guess but the flaps are very small for little children to lift and very flimsy. The pictures are very bland and lacking bright colors you typically see in children’s book. Front cover is the best picture. My child didn’t like and we will donate book. I would recommend something else if you are looking for a lift the flap book or an engaging book.

This book is a must have. Every child I have baby say and my child love this book. My baby loves lifting the flaps and I make the noises for the animals as she opens it. The book is good quality and sturdy enough for my one year old.

This book is perfect for a child approaching 1 year (I think I bought it for my son around 8 months). He loves the flaps and it helps work on his fine motor skills as well as object permanence. I was worried the flaps would tear but the paper material is super strong and has held up with some pretty strong pulling. I also love that everything here is very realistic -- animals at the zoo. It's perfect for explaining animals, and there isn't too much going on on each page which is perfect for babies.

My son is 3 1/2, and he just recently started enjoying reading books together. Every night we incorporate reading a book before bed, and I decided to pick this one up on a Target run. He absolutely loves this book. As we have started to reread this book, he has learned what is behind each flap, and loves naming the animals that keep being sent. I think this book is a really great learning opportunity for children with speech delays (which my son has) and also a really fun read!

As a speech pathologist working with toddlers and preschoolers, this was one of my favorite books to use for speech and language development. Now my 10 month old grandson is enjoying this book! Totally appropriate for even a child this young. You just need to supervise to be sure they don’t tear the flaps off.
