Outgassing is absolutely toxic 1.5 months later, think lung cancer levels. Can’t be in the same room with this thing, they really need to change the glue and stain they use to make this. Also the manufacturing is shoddy for the doors - the hinge mounting holes are at completely different heights on the left and right door and they cannot be fully aligned no matter what you do to adjust the hinge.

I purchased the Mitchell Medium Storage Cabinet Distressed Charcoal Brown - WyndenHall, but not so happy with the purchase. The design is nice, however the quality and the easy of assembly on this product, or at least on the item I got was disappointing. Parts were mislabeled, holes for connecting pieces were not properly align - we had do think of workaround to connect the pieces. As a side note I also got the 60" Mitchell Solid Acacia Wood Sideboard Buffet Distressed Charcoal Brown - WyndenHall with which I am very happy. However, the Medium Storage Cabinet seemed like it was made by different company - experience with assembly was totally different and the overall quality of the Medium Storage Cabinet was not as high as the Sideboard Buffet. With the price for this item one should expect high quality product.

Excellent Quality with Plenty of Storage. Easy to Assemble and Very Sturdy. I did a lot of searching and research…nothing compares to this cabinet. What more could one ask for in an accent cabinet!!!

I ordered this cabinet expecting to have it in a week or two, as I badly needed the storage in my new home. The status changed to back ordered shortly thereafter, with the date being pushed out multiple times. While I was waiting, they ran it on sale for lower price - I will say it is a huge pet peeve of mine when retailers run items on a huge sale when they aren’t even available for months!!! Why? Then, when I finally got a firm delivery date, I didn’t actually get the cabinet for 5 additional days after that. It finally arrived flat-packed and undamaged, thank goodness! After unpacking it, I was overwhelmed by the horrible, strong chemical smell, and I for sure will not be storing towels, food or clothing in it anytime soon - if ever - another major disappointment. Upon assembling it, we found multiple errors in the directions, and it took a lot of time to figure out what they intended to say vs what they actually meant (parts labeling did not match up to instructions). After sorting through all of that, we found there were no drill holes to assist with attaching the back panels, which then took extra time and care to make sure the panels were placed properly. Finally, when we got to installing the doors, one side had drill holes, the second did not. As you might guess, placement is critical to getting the doors to match up side to side, so we had to remove (and later reattach) the piece with the drill holes to match up to the other side and then create our own holes before we could attach the last door. I have to say, after it was all said and done, the cabinet looks very nice. It is heavy, and the finish looks beautiful as well as the modern, metal legs. There were a few tiny gouges here and there, but nothing that shows on the outside. I felt like the cabinet was terribly overpriced for the total amount of hassle, but the end result does probably look more high-end than the sale price would indicate. Order at your own risk, and only if you’re ready to deal with the strong chemical smell.
