Modern Nightstand with Drawer Black - Room Essentials™

I bought this in store yesterday, and assembled it, just for the pieces not to fit together all the way and the drawer wouldn’t close. When I tried calling to get a refund they said they could if I bought it online, but since it was bought in store I had to bring it in. I don’t have a car, and live in a city where I take the bus, and in its built state it was too bulky and heavy to transport. I spent an hour on the phone with multiple customer service agents, who had no idea what to do since my situation didn’t follow their script, and kept transferring me to other agents who also didn’t understand my situation. When I called in store, I asked if I could bring parts of it back, and they said I had to bring the full thing back, even though I told them I can’t. It’s stupid that it’s offered if bought online but not in store. So I started to move the nightstand to take it apart, when the top panel detached from the rest of it and fell on my toe. The wood ended up splitting, and I was in so much pain that I had to go to the ER to see if my toe was broken. After 4 hours in the ER it ended up to be nerve damage, but I have to stay home from work the next few days. And I still don’t know what to do with this nightstand. All because targets stupid in store return policy. I just wanted my $60 back and frankly I wouldn’t recommend anyone buy anything in person from here ever again.

The pieces they gave us to assemble were cut incorrectly, resulting in the wood splitting and breaking. Horrible quality

Took my husband about 1hr to assemble for our teen son. It’s not the best quality but over all look and function we are happy with considering the low cost.

I really love this nightstand! The white color is clean and modern. It’s the perfect size—for my grand daughter's bedroom, not too bulky. The drawer is a nice bonus for keeping everything neat and out of sight. It was easy to put together and feels sturdy once assembled. Overall, I’m very happy with how it looks and the quality for the price!

This is a very sturdy nightstand. The black color is very authentic. It came ready to assemble, which wasn’t too difficult. It’s kind of heavy in weight. Nice addition to any room.

OK, I’m not gonna lie. I thought this was gonna be harder to put together, but it actually wasn’t. It’s a very convenient side table next to my couch with my printer easy to decorate great drawer for storage very portable where my husband even said oh we can move it upstairs to next-door our bed if we want also.  The material is great. It’s not flimsy at all and I love a good drawer so I can just grab quick stuff from my couch that I need. This is a perfect side table for any room in your house. You can put it in your bathroom anywhere and it goes with everything and you can really dress it up. Definitely a must buy.

Great nightstand for a great price. Sturdy and strong. I was skeptical to buy due to all the reviews. It’s super easy to build & you have to read the very last step, that’s why some peoples drawer didn’t fit correctly. Worth my money. I love it.

A decent lightweight nightstand that is good for my daughters bedroom. The assembly was okay, but I also used glue to keep this together better. It’s made okay, could be made a bit more durable, but suits my daughter’s bedroom for what she needs. Draw is easy to open and close and has a good amount of room underneath and on top for items. Hopefully it lasts!

I am so impressed with this nightstand for the price. It went together pretty easily and is really spacious and cute. Perfect for an apartment , dorm room or kids room. The drawer has so much room too.

The room essentials modern nightstand, and black. This nightstand was easy to assemble. I chose not to put the drawer in it. Because of what I want to use it for. It’s good quality and a great value for what it is. Definitely recommend.

I decided to use this product in the living room as a side table. I like the all white appearance. The product was a bit difficult to assemble. The directions were well written but some stops were difficult. Some of the ‘lock’ mechanisms did not remain locked and the top shelve is loose. It does not take away from the appearance, you just need to be mindful when moving the unit. The drawer was another difficult assembly - the pieces didn’t want to fit together. I gave the product a 3 because of the assembly but overall I like the appearance, it does seem sturdy and will be a good stand to have.

This arrived with a lot of damage to the pieces, as shown in the photos; the damage still shows in its assembled state. It was impossible to square, no matter how much we manipulated it; if it's on carpet, it doesn't wobble, but on a floor it does. I cannot recommend this product.

Easy assembly, clear picture‑based instructions, and everything fit perfectly. Some reviews mention issues, but careful assembly made mine come together beautifully. It’s sturdy, looks great, and is very affordable.

This is a nice nightstand that is well designed and sturdy. Having one drawer might seem kinda weird but the bottom opening allows you to store shoes or a bag. It's decently priced too. Took about 30mins for me to put together and was rather easy to put together too because of the clear instructions. The features on the drawer are nice since it allows you to adjust the drawer relatively easily. My only issue with this is the gap at the bottom. Per the directions this is intentional. It isn't a large gap but it's there. See photos to see what I'm talking about.

Would give a 0 star if I could. Pieces that come with the product do not fit and end up being loose. There seems to be a common occurrence of this so I’m honestly shocked that target even sells this item. Buy any other nightstand than this. It is made very poorly and they send the wrong items.

This nightstand is just what I needed next to my bed. The materials do not feel like they are flimsy or like they will fall apart. It is very sturdy and was easy to put together. The drawer slides well and it is very roomy for all of the little things you would like to have next to your bed. I would not hesitate to purchase this again.

It’s nice if you’re looking for a simple nightstand for a college student. The assembly was straightforward except it wasn’t intuitive needing to adjust the drawer to fit on the track. However it didn’t take long to figure it out. It’s not made of real wood, but for a laminate one it seems really good overall.

I personally am not a fan of this unless you are looking for something relatively inexpensive that will only last a year. Materials felt cheap and it is a bit awkward that the primary drawer sits so far back. It took about 1 hour to setup with minimal tools (screwdriver and hammer) and although it included all of the screws and hidden cams, the unit seemed very cheapy put together and to reinforce several of the screws honestly required a specialty bit to the screwdriver as it was harder to do than it should have been. Would I purchase this again? Probably not as I feel it is on the flimsier side and can easily be broken if somehow it gets toppled over by my adventurous toddler. Does it look cute though? Yes- but a piece of furniture for our family means surviving the inevitable abuse of my children enough that it lasts longer than a year. Storage is enough for a few books and pens in the drawer and not sure how helpful an open shelf is when I am using the nightstand to hide some of the clutter. Overall I'm not really a fan unfortunately and would instead buy from a different major retailer if you are looking for quality beyond $25. As a disclaimer, I did receive this item in exchange for my honest feedback. Any opinions are my own.

I would give it a zero if possible. This thing is very poorly designed. Connector pieces don't work well. This went straight to the dumpster after trying to assemble.
