I tried to find an alternative to the Tangle Teezer that was all one piece because I found that the Tangle Teezer can grow mold inside. First, I tried the Kitsch detangling brush, which was okay but it didn't perform the way a Tangle Teezer would. Cue this brush - a beautiful combination of single molded plastic that won't hide anything nasty on a hollow inside, plus the flexibility and sharp-but-not-too-sharp bristles that detangle like a breeze. I didn't love it my first time trying it because it felt different, but now I like it better and I feel like my kids complain less when I detangle their super tight curls.
