Great Portable Snack
When younger, and volunteering in a food coop, I discovered bulk food, one of which was fresh fruit bars that improved on the package fig bars of our youth. I was happy to come across these Nature's Bakery and often buy these larger boxes in either raspberry or blueberry. The fact that the serving is two, and each has slightly more than 1 gram of protein per bar, makes it a perfect snack to provide for a child that has actual fruit on it.

A Great, Healthy Energy Bar
These bars are available in several flavors. My favorite is the raspberry. My 10-year-old grandaughter likes the blueberry ones. I usually get one box of each. They are a great snack -- a fig and fruit mix-- with a whole wheat crust. I like to carry a couple of them when I go on hikes or bike rides. Definitely worth a try.
