Description
The brilliantly durable and rechargeable NiteHowl LED Safety Necklace by Nite Ize is made with flexible polymer that's illuminated by bright LEDs and can be recharged for hours of nighttime fun and safety. With Disc-O Select, this NiteHowl makes identifying multiple dogs easy with the ability to choose from one of three selectable colors (red, green, blue), plus a unique Disc-O mode that you'll have to see to believe. By illuminating the polymer with multiple colors at the same time, Disc-O mode creates a flowing color-blending pattern that's as fun as it is functional.

Q: can this be put on and taken off easily? I don't want to keep it on my dog all of the time.

A: Magsmom, Thank you for taking the time to leave this question for us. The NiteHowl can easily be taken off your dog when you are not using it. You can cut the polymer tubing to whatever length you want so you can slide it over the dog's head or connect/disconnect via the connection at the LED module. If you use an Android device in your home, the NiteHowl rechargeable uses the same cable. For the Hitch products that flat piece would go in between the back of your phone and case with the little ring going through the bottom of the case where the phone charger would go. Please reach out to us at info@niteize.com and we can go more in depth with how to use this product.
Stopped working after a month and two days

I loved this for my dog, but it stopped holding a charge only a month and two days after I bought it. It would light up for only a few minutes, then go dead, even when it should have been full charged. I'm trying to reach the customer service, wondering if it's a fluke and I received one with a bad battery. When it worked, it was great.

I bought 3 of these for my dogs for Christmas. It says they were rechargeable which they are Not! They are battery operated and the batteries wiggle around and will not stay in place. The screw to get that back off is extremely small so it’s not easy to access. I would NOT recommend this product. I bought mine Dec 2024

Those micro-locks do get much easier to open when unlocked, if you twist that block plastic lock counter clockwise it should unlock and allow you to open it much easier. The product arrived in a timely manner. The product looks great and is well made. However, I found the clips extremely hard to open. I had to use needle nose pliers to be able to open the device and use the ring. My son likes the one I gave him, but I will not be using mine. Just personal preference.

I thought this was a very cool and fun idea for my dog. However, not including a micro USB is just stupid - I just happened to have one! I see others did not, but what I’m finding most annoying is that I cannot figure out how on earth I am suppose to cut and shorten just a little. I’ve pulled, I’ve tugged, I’ve twisted, nothing. And no instructions on the packaging AND I’ve tried without luck to find any instructions under the “reviews and instructions” tab! I am pretty capable of figuring things out - without instructions, but this is ridiculous. It’s going back!

We have used these for 2 years now with our English Springer Spaniels. We live on a golf course and these are ideal because the dogs are off leash very early in the morning and later in the darkness of night. One of our dogs is visually impaired, yet she can still follow her boyfriend with his safety necklace glowing. I wouldn't be without these; whether you walk your dogs on or off-lead, they are the best. Traffic notices them on the sidewalks and slows down.
