Description

Enhance your dining room with the sophistication and comfort of the North Bay Round Dining Table from Buylateral. The generous tabletop surface measures 59.1 inches wide, providing ample room for serving pieces and place settings, seating up to six comfortably. Designed with a unique tapered pedestal base that offers a hint of Mid-century style which is ideal for contemporary interiors. The substantial base is crafted of solid rubberwood and topped with a veneered MDF tabletop in a rich Ebony Black finish.
Please note that the table top is crafted of natural wood veneer. Like all natural products, there may be variances in the finish due to knots and the natural grain of the wood. These slight variances may cause the appearance of lines or imperfections, but they will not have an effect on the performance of the product.

Decent for the price

Table color especially the top up-close is not quite as pictured. The top looks darker brown than expected and definitely looks like fake wood as it is MDF. It also came with a decent sized scratch on the tabletop, but Target customer service did offer for me to exchange it or receive a discount if I wanted to keep it. Overall it is a decent modern look for half the price (or less) of a real wood table.

Pretty nice but not what i was expecting

It’s a pretty nice table but unfortunately I have to return it. The color looks a lot warmer (orangey) in person and i also don’t care for the distressed look on the bottom of the base. My other issue is that it might not be the most safe if you have kids. The table can easily be pushed down because of the hollow base.

A solid statement piece

This is a very sturdy, heavy table. The styling is very attractive. The table came very well packaged with no damage. I will also say the delivery company did an excellent job-even helping me get it into house when they did not need to! You definitely need two people to assemble. It also includes leveling feet on bottom you can adjust and they double to protect floors. Six chairs fit perfectly!

Do Not Buy

After less than 4 months of use, this table started to crack down the middle. Not to mention all of the top coating also peeling off. At 6 months, I now have a 12 inch crack down the center of the table. Target has been absolutely disgraceful in their help of this item. I was actually hung up on twice while trying to reach out to them for a replacement item. I have a 2-year old child who This table could easily fall on. It isnt just a cosmetic issue - it is literally a safety issue and Target refuses to help in any way. As a long time customer, this is finally the plug to stop shopping here. Do yourself a favor and do not buy.

DO NOT BUY. Paint started to chip away almost immediately. I’ve contacted target to start return several times and was told I’d have to speak to the manufacturer. They tried to connect me with them but never heard from anyone . Now I’m stuck with a big piece of trash !

Quality Control Issue: Very Unfortunate

As others have shared, there’s an issue with quality control of the base. Which is so unfortunate and annoying! The table appears to be beautiful but the base arrived damaged/defective. Which can happen. But I can’t assemble or use the table unlit the base is replaced! The 1 star is for customer service I’ve received in trying to rectify the situation. There seems to be no sense of urgency in trying to rectify the matter which is beyond frustrating. Customer feels a 10% discount should suffice which is beyond asinine. If you’re going to extend a discount make it make sense. But over I’ve expressed I just want the base replaced so I can assemble and use the table. I love Target and I shop at Target for the ease of doing business. However, in regards to this situation, the Target customer service team has dropped the ball!

Beautiful little trouble maker.

The table is heavy, solid and really beautiful in person. Truly gorgeous! -1 star for —> The first stand came cracked, then the second was cracked but the third time was a charm. Issues resolved promptly. Have to get bottom just right so it doesn’t wobble.

Nice but damaged

I really like the design. I’m very disappointed it arrived damaged. I waited nearly a month. It looks like it was packaged damaged. It is not east to unpack the top and to open to find it damaged was so deflating. I am waiting for a resolution/replacement part. I paid full price not the recent discount they listed. It is incredibly heavy and was a challenge to move. Not necessarily put together but to have to lay it down to assemble then pick up . That’s the worst part about even getting the replacement part - having to take it apart and put it together again. Wish they offered full delivery even at a cost.

Great modern table

Love this table. It’s so attractive and sturdy. It came with a small area on the side that was missing paint but I touched it up with a sharpie. Now I’m considering other furniture items on the Target website for my home. 😊
