OXO Pot Holder: Silicone & Cotton, Machine Washable, Solid Pattern, Gray/Black, Kitchen Textiles, 9.8" x 7.4"

This thing is perfect except I just wish the loop at the top were a tiny bit bigger. It tends to flap down and it would make hanging easier if it pointed upward. Nevertheless, I’ve used these for pans right out of the oven without any issue and I love them.

Functionally it works fine but the fabric pills after washing so my brand new potholder looks terrible. I will try a sweater shaver but that's more upkeep than I care to put into an oven mitt :)

I cannot recommend these because the fabric melts. Seems a bit dangerous, and quite the opposite of what you want from a potholder. I set my hot cookie sheet on two of these on my counter, to protect my counter. This is one of the main functions of this type of potholder/hot pad. I had to peel both of them off my cookie sheet as they melted onto my very nice cookie sheet. Leaving a perfect, black imprint on it. Now I'm afraid that will smell and burn off the next time I use it. IF they were made from the correct type of fabric that didn't melt and burn like this, I'd say they were great. I also have the mitts. They are soft and flexible and I don't feel the heat through either type. I'll be trashing these since I'm now afraid they'll melt and catch on fire more quickly than others.

The fabric shell is made of polyester and melts. The size and fit are great but not recommended for use pulling anything out of the oven.

At first I loved these OXO pot holders - sleek, attractive design and seemed well made.... however, these have not stood the test of time and use. I primarily used these to place hot pots on to protect my countertop and table for meal service. However, the black fabric is 100% polyester and it has burned and melted and is now cracking off from the cotton underlay (which has held up well) The reverse, composed of silicon grip, has also held up well. However, these pot holders are no longer attractive, sleek, nor useful - quality is not NOT as I expected - why didn't OXO make the potholder fully of heatproof materials?? Disappointed.

The best oven mitts! I’ve bought so many ones in the past but in 10 seconds it usually gets really hot. These ones are really high quality, the silicon is thick too.

Do you have opposable thumbs? Do you use them to hold things? If so, this is not the pot holder for you.

After I left a pot holder a bit too close to the burner and ruined it, I did some research to find out what would be a good replacement. The OXO Pot Holder was highly rated in quite a few reviews that I read online. I like that you can slip your hand inside and it has pretty good coverage, so I can use it in place of an oven mitt in many cases. The silicone makes it a bit more awkward to use than my previous tradtional square cloth pot holders, but it grips well and does the job pretty easily. It's holding up well after many months of use, and I appreciate the stylish modern design.

These pot holder really works; I have taken pans out of a 450 degree oven and felt not even a hint of heat.

I wanted to wait until I'd put this thing through its paces before I wrote my review. Overall, it's just what I needed! Takes a litt getting used to, but I used it for my cast iron skillet straight from the oven and never had a problem. well made, does the job.

Been using it with pans right out of the oven with no issues. Seems well constructed but also thinner than i'm used to. No issues with heat coming through though. I can't imagine how others have had them melt but it does warn you not to put it on the element.

These pot holders are great for keeping hands safe from the heat of pans/ovens but mine did melt/burn the fabric side when it was exposed to too much heat. I would suggest buying something of better quality material

Any part that isn't silicone melts and burns.

The outer rim around the silicone melted and burned at normal usage temperatures, causing the stuffing to fall out and causing it to become a serious hazard.
