Does not really dry salad leaves

Product arrived in good condition and is as described. However, it doesn't dry salad leaves, which is why I bought it. I don't know if it should spin faster, have more holes on the spinning bowl, or I should keep spinning the salad until my arms get tired. This is my first salad spinner and I really wanted to like it. Maybe salad spinners don't dry salad leaves. Knowing what I know now, I would skip the spinner and use a kitchen towel to blot my lettuce and spinach leaves.

Great for salads

This products is for all the salad lovers out there. Easy to and very gently on handles. The spinner gets all the “wetness” of a salad out so you get crisp crunchy veggies. Must have!

Reliable and efficient salad spinner that's been a

I have owned this salad spinner for years and have put it to the test, it works just as well as the day I bought it. I'm an avid gardener and grow leafy greens as much as I can. It fits a large portion of greens, sets into place easily, gets up to a quick spin speed with little effort and the brake button slows it down quickly. The non-slip base keeps everything set as you're working and it washes up quick and easy too. If my OXO salad spinner ever gave out, I'd definitely repurchase but there is no sign of that happening anytime soon!

I’ve been using the OXO Steel Salad Spinner and it works extremely well. The spinning mechanism is smooth and efficient, drying lettuce and greens quickly without damaging them. I really like the sturdy stainless steel bowl, which feels durable and looks great on the counter. The brake button is very convenient, and the overall design is easy to use and clean. It’s a high-quality kitchen tool that makes salad prep much easier, and I would definitely recommend it.

oxo stainless steel spinner

Love the spinner. Works great. I have owned it for years. HOWEVER, the lid being plastic cracked and no longer works and there are no replacement lids. I am not going to spend the money to replace the whole unit, just want a lid. Maybe you should set some aside for those of us needing to replace the lids. . . . . . . .

A once excellent product ruined

There’s been a very annoying redesign of a previously excellent item. The old version had a point built into the base of the bowl; the strainer spins on that point. The new version has a flat-bottomed bowl, with the pivot point built into a removable plastic disc which sits in the bottom of the bowl. The problem is that the plastic disc traps food and liquid underneath itself, and has to be removed to get the bowl perfectly clean. Also, the disc falls out whenever the bowl is turned over, and is difficult to remove for cleaning—it’s an entirely unnecessary complication.

Best produce cleaner! I love how fast you can wash produce. The basket is big enough so you can fit a whole head of lettuce, and still have room. Easy to clean too!

Older version was better without spindle insert.

Love it!!

After years of using a previous model, our old spinner’s plastic basket eventually gave out. We decided to upgrade to the stainless steel version—and we’re so glad we did. The new design is a major improvement: sturdy, efficient, and built to last. We use it daily, and it performs flawlessly every time. It may be a bit pricey, but the quality and durability make it well worth the investment. Excellent product—keep up the great work, OXO!

Strong performance but poor sustainability

I use my spinner daily and bought this to replace our busted OXO plastic spinner, preferring one with less plastic (for sustainability). However, this has a plastic bottom piece (not visible) and top that cannot be replaced if they break. If you break one of those plastic (and more fragile) pieces, you have to buy the whole package again, defeating the point of paying more for stainless steal.
