A: I bought the matching cabinet with glass fronts. The sides were open and I'm guessing that this similar version are open also. I installed windows that I cut from cheap poster frames and glued into place.

This is a very nice piece of furniture for this price and fits our space need for now. We purchased two of these. The instructions say to allow for 1.5 hours to assemble. The instructions seem to be missing some key information / steps. The first unit took about the full 90 minutes. The second unit went much faster (almost half the time) because we knew how the unit was to be put together. A step (or steps) between step 1 and 2 would be helpful to understand the options for the rails. Attach to top then connect to the parts assembled in step 1. If you are creating a stacking unit, you do not want to install the top, just the rails. This is mentioned in step 5 (after the image of installing the top). The stickers do not remove easily and leave some residue on the finish. Overall would recommend this cabinet.

I had a really hard time putting it together and ended up having to take it completely apart to turn the sides around so the doors would go on and because of this, there's now holes all over the front because I put the backboard on the front 🤦🏻♀️ this most likely was a 'me' problem however there are other reviews that say it's confusing to assemble. It doesn't feel sturdy (probably cause it's particle board) and I really don't think it'll last BUT for $70 on clearance it looks a lot better than the cube storage thing we had before even with all the holes I messed up. I'm just tired of having to see all the junk lol. Maybe eventually I'll get something nicer but this is a good bandaid.

I wish I had room for more!,
the best piece of flat pack furniture I've ever purchased. well built. I have the off white and it is a great cream color. the only thing I could critique is the sides are open panels and you can see what's inside but that is very craftsman. I also wish there wer some kind of plugs to cover the screw bolts on the sides.

I'm not in love but I don't hate it either
It’s just okay. I bought it on sale for about $60 and honestly would not pay anymore for it than I did. I put it together by myself in about 40 minutes with a power drill. It was a little confusing because I wasn’t sure which way the side panels were supposed to attach so I put them on and hoped for the best. I actually took them off and rearranged them a couple of times before I was able to move on. Everything else was pretty straightforward when it comes to assembly. I’ll probably end up covering the sides with fabric so you can’t see inside on the sides. I also don’t like that you can see the hardware on the sides. I feel like it makes it seem cheap. It’s just okay. I’m not thrilled with it but I don’t hate it either.

Frustrating Adsembly
I messed up the assembly because it wasn’t super clear that the side pieces needed to be facing a certain way and then I screwed the backing into the front side of the side pieces. Now after reassembling I have holes in the front 😭 sad times but I am going to keep it because I don’t want to have to I reassemble if I were to order another one. I do think the quality is nice just wish the instructions had been more clear when a certain piece had to face a certain way. Assembly was difficult for me.

Pretty but flawed
I love the design and the idea of the item. I dislike the fact that the shelf isn’t secured on the pegs and doesn’t stay up. Also you cannot fully close the storage unit if the shelf pegs are in. I tried using replacing the pegs with bookshelf pins to see if that would keep the shelf up and allow me to close it all the way but it doesn’t.
