About the Author
Dr. Chris Coughlin is the Paramedic Program Director at Contra Costa College in San Pablo, California. Dr. Coughlin is a nationally certified EMS educator. In 2006, he became one of the first 850 nationally certified flight paramedics (FP-C) in the United States. He previously worked as a critical care flight paramedic in Phoenix, and served as the Department Chair of Public Safety Sciences at Glendale Community College in Glendale, Arizona.
He is also the author of REA's bestselling Crash Course for the EMT Exam.Dr. Coughlin has degrees in Paramedicine from Glendale Community College, Adult Education from Ottawa University, and Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. He holds a doctorate in Educational Philosophy from Capella University.
