Q: Does the raspberry filling have seeds in it?
submitted by Knel - 4 years ago
A: Hi there, Pepperidge Farm Distinctive Homestyle Linzer Torte Cookies will contain some raspberry seeds, as raspberry puree is an ingredient in the filling. Please always review the ingredient statement on the package for information regarding ingredients. Thanks! -Riley with Pepperidge Farm

The Pepperidge Farm raspberry cookies have garnered mixed reviews from guests, with many praising their delicious buttery texture and sweet raspberry filling, making them a delightful treat for coffee or tea. However, some guests express disappointment over changes in the recipe, noting a lack of powdered sugar and a texture that resembles crackers rather than cookies. Despite the criticisms, many still enjoy the flavor and consider them a holiday favorite.

No powdered sugar, cry
My boyfriend put these in a brrr basket for me last year, and myself among other people have realized that they removed the powdered sugar and they are not the same… Somehow they are dryer? And definitely missing the powdered sugar, it was definitely essential to the cookie. Really surprised that the online backlash didn’t have them bring it back this year as they always sold them before!

Tasty and freshly made vibe
I really like how tasty these cookies are! Very similar to the Knotts Berry farm ones. They’re very fresh and packaged to make sure there isn’t much of a mess when you choose to have one…. Or FIVE!

Buttery and delicious
Pepperidge Farm Raspberry Cookies are absolutely delicious! The buttery cookie pairs perfectly with the sweet, tangy raspberry filling for the perfect bite every time. They taste homemade and feel like such a treat—perfect with coffee, tea, or just on their own!

Great tasting cookie
My husband & I really enjoyed these Pepperidge Farms Linzer Raspberry cookies. We liked that they weren’t too sweet. It has a great texture too.

Loser Linzers
These cookies are awful! I took one bite and threw the rest away. The cookie part tastes like cardboard. There’s hardly any raspberry jam. What a disappointment. Stick with Milanos.

Hard cracker cookies
These aren’t Linzer cookies. They’re really hard crackers with a bit of filling. Wished I hadn’t bought them.

Pepperidge Farm FORGETS how to make this cookie
I remember when these Linzer cookies were coated with powdered sugar and they were somewhat soft to bite into. The actual cookie looks nothing like the packaging. The filling is hard and stale as the cookie. I purchased many packages and they were all this way throughout the past 2-3 years they been cheating the buyer with this garbage replacement. Pepperidge Farm is suffering from amnesia and cheaping out on quality. All the while the consumer is paying more for inferior product. For shame Pepperidge Farm.

Terrible Cookies
The cookie part is flavorless and not a great texture either. The filling does not taste like raspberry so much but some chemically artificial raspberry flavor. Even the bite factor is not great, the cardboard cookie just cracks apart leaving you with a handful of broken cookie slightly held together by the red glue in the middle.

Stale
I'm usually a fan of Pepperidge farm cookies. These were in the holiday aisle so I only paid ~$3 for it, but my gosh, these were not a hit. The rasberry part was flavorful but the actual cookie part had the texture of cardboard. Would not recommend.

Tasty
Crunchy and delicious! They’re not too over filled. They’re not too sweet. Not too tart. The design is nice. I love seeing what holiday creations Pepperidge Farm comes out with.

WHERE IS THE POWDERED SUGAR??
I swore these cookies were dusted with powdered (confectioners) sugar. I loved them in the past. Well, not anymore. I overpaid for two packages today and they taste terrible. Very bland and not sweet. Like cardboard. I Googled them thinking maybe I was wrong. Other retailers such as Vons and Amazon show the packaging with the sugar dusting. Another good product bites the dust!

Linzer no more, Last Pepperidge Farm cookies I buy
They thought we wouldn't notice! We did immediately by appearance first then taste. Pepperidge Farm ruined the holiday favorite Limited Edition Linzer Cookies. These are absolute garbage. Nothing close to the original. Missing powdered confection sugar. Change in the cookie ingredients. Texture change. I'm never buying another bag of Pepperidge Farm cookies again. Vote with your dollar folks. I was wondering why so many were sitting on the shelf now I know why.

PF cheapened the cookie
Recipe changed no longer a cookie more like a cracker/poptart. Don't bother buying not the same cookie anymore. Cookie is hard, too sweet and no powder sugar.

Eh.
I thought the taste was off, then I read the ingredients. NO BUTTER. They’re ok, but definitely not worth the price.
