An unwelcome arrival
this stuffed animal is cute enough, but the purr and heartbeat features are so loud that they don't settle into the background noise of my home. They also don't seem welcome by my cat. At this point, it's an expensive stuffed animal that I could put a hot pack in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats love this HuggieKitty. The toy comes with a reusable heat pad. You just heat it in the microwave and add the heat pack in the bottom hook and loop pouch, once you put it inside it will bring on a warm feeling that makes the cuddling feel. The toy itself will need 2 AAA batteries. And the most amazing that it is machine washable, as it gets dirty after cats use it. My cats love to play with it and cuddle while sleeping as it gives them comfort. If you have cats and a toy to comfort them this one is the best one. This toy is of amazing quality, very well made, a perfect toy for cats.

My dog loves it, my cat not so much
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a super cute kitty, the purring is adorable, the heating pad the cats didn't use much. However my 3 year old chihuahua has fallen in love. QUITE LITERALLY, she plays with kitty. Sleeps with kitty, she straddles kitty lol and she loves that cat. My cats look at it and walk away.

Great for Soothing Your Pets!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This huggie kitty is great to sooth a cat or dog. Both of ours liked it. The packet that you heat in the microwave is eay to heat and put in the bottom velcrow opening. Also the heart beat sound comes out of a little box and works fine. You can choose how long you would like the heartbeat box to stay on as well. Our animals are adults and liked, so I think kittens or puppies just separated from their mothers would really love this. Especially to calm them to sleep alone at night. Great product and I am most definetly recomending to friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stuffed animal comes with one heat pack, before I started trying to figure where I could get more or how much they cost I turned on the heart beat which sounds like a gorilla's heart beat. I couldn't go to sleep with the heart beating, needless to say the kitten couldn't either. The animal smells like strong chemicals, kitten didn't want to have anything to do with it. It's soft but who cares because no one is interested in critter.

Didn't work for my cats

Since they all seem to have anxiety and get so lonely when I am gone I was really hoping this would help out. However none of them seem to like it what so ever. One of my cats hisses at even.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a small, blind female cat who doesn’t get much attention from our big male cats, and we were hoping she would snuggle with this. It purrs and makes a heartbeat sound and is very soft. I’m not sure yet how she feels about it (she’s REALLY not used to cuddling with other cats) but she does allow it in her bed so maybe she’s coming around. Surprisingly, one of the boys seems to like it a lot!

Very soothing sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this huggiekitty to be very soothing not only for the kittens but also for myself. I played the purring sound to wind the kittens down for the night. First press, and you'd get the purring sound that is very subtle. Second press you'd hear the soft faint heartbeat. At first, my kittens hissed at it thinking I'd brought another cat home but as I let the purring sound play out they gradually got used to it. I actually fell asleep to the purring effect myself. I would recommend this for even toddlers. What I really like about it is the underside where the contraption is to be placed is well protected. You do not feel the velcro edges as there is a flap that protects the velcro edge and is wide enough to protect you from getting scratched.

Neither of them were at all interested in snuggling with the HuggieKitty - even with the heating element inside. This might be nice for a shelter where kitties are seeking more comfort.

Interesting, but the cat jury is out
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm probably writing this a little too soon, as we just acquired HuggieKitty in the last few days and have begun making it available to our two cats. The options of "purring," heartbeat," and "warmth" are interesting. They can be used individually or in combination. The kitty is nicely made and soft which they should like. You should know that our cats are not big on toys and we continue to try things to get them interested. We're hopeful these unique options will be attractive to them as they may be to your cat. So far we've tried the heartbeat. We intend to try the purring sound if they ignore the heartbeat. We'll do a follow up review when they've had more time to check it out.

Adorable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat who has anxiety has fallen in love with his HuggieKitty. The purring sound helps him relax when he is having an anxiety episode. The size was a little larger than expected, but it works well since he is a larger cat. The heating pack is easy to warm and he snuggles with it at night. It is also easy to clean since the attachments are able to be completely removed. This would be wonderful for kittens.
