Clean and seal each piece before assembly to keep them rust-free, then apply polyurethane spray to protect the surface from rust and scratches. The kit includes all materials necessary to make six brackets. Each assembled bracket will hold a shelf up to 11.25 in. deep and is weight-tested to support up to 50 lbs. when mounted with anchors and screws in drywall. For maximum stability, we recommend securing the flanges into at least one wood stud when possible. The pipe is made from welded schedule 40 steel, and the final color varies from dark grey to black.
