Disappointed all around
I was not a fan of this at all. It advertises that it will adhere to anything metal because of the magnet. I tried it on several things and my phone just slides right down. Also, if you have a PopSocket stand to watch shows, this doesn’t allow you to turn your phone once you put it on the stand. You have to take it off and put it back on horizontally (or vertically) to watch what you want. Needless to say, for $40+ after tax, it’s going back to the store.

I’m normally not a fan of them because I hate that my phone wouldn’t lie flat, but this one is so thin you can’t even tell it’s there! while thin, the material is still strong enough to use the grip between your fingers. also love that it’s magnetic via magsafe and doesn’t ruin your phone case!

I love how thin it is. Magnet stinks.
I have a Samsung Galaxy 26 ultra in a phone case. With the previous popsocket design it did not sit right in my phone mount in my car. It would constantly fall out while I was driving. The appeal to this popsocket is how thin it was. After purchasing I realized it didn't stick on with the same popsocket sticky and had a magnet and attempted to use that feature it did not work with the phone case. That made sense. I took the phone case off attached to my bare phone. No sooner did I put the popsocket between my fingers my phone had fallen right off. magnet is just not strong enough nfor my galaxy 26. I'm a work smarter not harder type and pulled the sticky part off the previous popsocket and put on the back of the this thin one. Stuck it on my phone case. Now my phone fits in my car mount. The phone stand option of this popsocket vertically works well for now.

Poor design, weak magnet
This was nice for the first day or so. But after about a week, it felt awkward to hold and use because of the web like extension it’s designed with. Personally, I prefer the accordion extension of the originals. I think it would’ve been better if the grip itself was able to do a 360 turn rather than turning the entire grip. Also with this particular item, I felt as though the magnets were weak. This item may work well for others, it just wasn’t for me.

It’s magnetic that’s for sure… so magnetic that my phone detaches from it when it’s connected to its “MagSafe” charger in my car. It’s also inconveniently difficult to pop the holder out when grabbing the phone. It’s makes for dropping my phone more convenient. I just don’t think this is a good design. I really was hoping so! I wanted a kick stand so bad! But this just isn’t it!

I won’t lie, it looks like it wouldn’t be very strong, because it’s so light, but the strength on that pop out piece is wild! You can tell it is a good quality stand as soon as you move it and it stays exactly where you put it, no sudden drops with this stand at all. And the Popsocket part itself is very soft and thin, which worried me because I’m used to their classic (stiffer) Popsocket style, but it is so comfortable compared to the old style. And the fact that it snaps on to the back of the phone using MagSafe makes it a 10/10!! This hits all the marks for me, so if you’re in the market for a new Popsocket, this is a must try!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly, there isn’t anything too special about this for the price point. The Magsafe connection aligns well and sticks to the back of my Iphone 15 Pro Max well enough, but it will slide off if you position your hand in a certain way. It does not stick to my current phone cases, but claims to stick to cases compatible with MagSafe. It’s easy to snap on or pop off when you need to. It has a slender profile, so doesn’t add unnecessary bulk to your phone. It stays pretty flush with the back of your phone. It has a black matte finish combined with the rubberized ring that seems to attract and show lint, dust and finger print smudges fairly easily. As I mentioned, it’s a bit too pricey for what it is; essentially a plastic magnetic disc. The metal ring that allows the phone to “sit up” doesn’t add much for me either. If you already have a MagSafe case, maybe it’d be better suited for you. I don’t have one and this product doesn’t make me want to spend the money for it.

I used to think these were for teens and people who use their phone too much, but as a mid 30’s guy this has been an amazing product to add to my arsenal. It attaches to my MagSafe iPhone easily, acts as a phone stand (which was perfect on my most recent flight), and will even attach my phone magnetically to another surface if I want to watch a video. It takes up zero space in my pocket and top of that it just easily makes it easier to hold my phone while using on a regular basis. I highly recommend getting this product, especially for the price.
