The Auto Assist Grab Bar by Able Life is a support handle and standing aid designed to work for all makes and models of vehicles. It provides stable assistance to both enter and exit any vehicle. This grab bar slides into the door striker and sits parallel to the car for optimal leverage and comfort. Simply hold on to the ergonomic handle and lift yourself up or lower yourself down. Helps so much

I received as a gift from family. Have issues getting in and out of car. This fits nicely into the pocket on my door, so it is always at hand and ready to use. Finding when I get older I have to change even the simple way of getting in and out of cars, this has simplified it so much.

Perfect Accessory to help a person in/out of a car

This has proved to be very helpful for my elderly father in being able to get in and out of a vehicle. Having a temporary grab bar in the door frame works wonders.

Helpful for disabled

I bought this for my husband who has ALS and is needing a little boost to get him out of the passenger seat. It's a great assistive device that we are happy to have found.

But for one glaring oversight this would be a good

Good idea but destructive to my car door, ergo a worthless handicap aid. The sharp metal which goes into the door latch comes into direct contact with paint of door, and scratches the paint. It worsens with each use, This could have easily been remedied by covering the sharp metal shaft with a heavy duty rubber coating, Worthless item! Not worth sacrificing my car door. How could you have overlooked this shortcoming????

The perfect item with the power lift recliner

With total knee replacement. I needed a table that would work with my Power Lift Recliner that I could swing out of the way so I could operate the recliner ez-lift to the standing position. This was perfect item. Need to buy another for my wife.

I had the car handle several years ago and it worked fine for my Mom. She was way shorter then my husband. Does not work for him-a tall guy.

I have been very happy with the auto assist grab bar

Good for helping people stand up

My husband has PD and has great difficulty standing up from a sitting position. We have tried almost everything and this helps w/ our assistance to get him standing. He needs it in our livingroom to stand up from a lift chair. Anyone who has diffuculty standing would benefit from this product.
