A: Hello A - It is better to choose a ceramic or, preferably, a wire mesh bowl. Plastic or metal bowls tend to make fruit sweat which can speed up deterioration.Hope this helps!! - Theresa

I got this for the cupboard on the side of my stove, where a lot of people store cookware. I haven't bought my main bins for that cabinet yet (the ones I need are presently out of stock), but this white wire bin, I got to go alongside of the future main bins. I am very impressed with it!!!!! It's really well made, and eventhough I measured it, it's bigger than I really realized!!! Presently I have boxes of elbow macaroni in it (they fit perfectly), plus some jars of rice. In the future I will use this bin for cartons of almond milk and maybe my tall spaghetti jars. It's strong enough that it will handle anything, though, and it's such a help for using the deep cupboards without having to get out a flashlight and dig in there, lol. I realize that this wire bin was most likely made as a toilet tank bin (and I think it would be great for that), but it's just so strong and roomy that it makes the most excellent bin for the smaller items in deep cupboards!!!! I highly recommend this bin because the quality is great and this long size is a great size to organize deep cupboards!!!
