Convinient wireless carplay upgrade
I found this to be a convenient way to upgrade wired CarPlay to wireless while keeping your existing radio. Just need to make sure your vehicle already supports wired CarPlay before purchasing!

Cut the Cord - Wireless CarPlay in Seconds
If your car already has wired CarPlay or Android Auto, this little Rexing dongle makes it wireless. It works with both iPhone and Android, so one adapter covers the whole family. Setup is plug and play - pair your phone once, and after that it reconnects on its own whenever you start the car. It runs on 5GHz Wi-Fi, so maps, music and calls feel just like a cable, and it’s small enough to disappear into your USB port, with a USB-C adapter in the box for newer cars. The one catch is that it needs a car with factory CarPlay or Android Auto, so it’s a good excuse to check your dashboard first and skip any guesswork.

Great Way to Add Modern Technology to an Older Car!
I got the Rexing CPW-42 for my son's older Toyota RAV4, and it's been a great addition. The setup was incredibly simple, and it was up and running in just a few minutes. No complicated instructions or messing around with settings. It really couldn't have been easier. What impresses me most is how reliable it has been. It connects every time without any issues, and everything works exactly as it should. There's nothing more frustrating than technology that only works half the time, but that hasn't been a problem with this adapter. It's a great way to bring some newer technology into an older vehicle without spending a fortune upgrading the entire system. My son gets the convenience of CarPlay, and I didn't have to spend a bunch of money to give his RAV4 a more modern feel. Overall, I'm very happy with it. Simple to install, easy to use, and most importantly, it just works. Definitely recommend it if you're looking to update an older vehicle.

Exceeds Expectations
I was expecting that installation of any CarPlay adapter would be tricky and would have to be tried a couple times. This Rexing CPW-42 proved me wrong. The installation instructions are straight forward took literally seconds. The operation is flawless and actually is better than my wired connection which has some bugs and drops the connection off and on. This wireless adapter allows me to place my phone anywhere and not be tied down struggling with cords. The blue light lets me know I’m connected. It comes with a usb-C adapter as well as the standard usb-A. This device is a handy and convenient addition for all your travels or commuting. Get yourself one, you won’t be sorry.

Solid upgrade to go wireless!
I bought this adapter to finally get rid of the annoying cable clutter in my car, and it’s been working great. I tested it with both an iPhone and an Android phone, and the connection setup was straightforward for both. Once paired, it automatically connects every time I turn on the ignition—no manual intervention needed. The screen mirroring is smooth, and navigation, music playback, and voice commands respond with minimal lag. It's compact enough to stay tucked away out of sight, making the daily commute a whole lot cleaner and more convenient. Highly recommend if your car already has factory wired CarPlay or Android Auto!

I have been using Rexing wirelesss adapters for about 5 years now and absolutely love how well they work. The others were bulky boxes with a cord connection but this CPW-42 plugs directly into the USB port like a thumb drive. Takes up less space and was very simple to connect and start using. You can’t go wrong with Rexing and I highly recommend.

Simple, Convenient, and Works Great
This adapter is a great little upgrade for anyone who is tired of plugging their phone in every time they get in the car. Setup was straightforward, and once everything was paired, the wireless connection made using CarPlay/Android Auto much more convenient. I especially like the compact design because it doesn't take up much space, and not having a cable running from my phone to the dashboard makes the whole setup feel cleaner. Navigation, music, calls, and voice controls are much easier to use without having to connect a cable every time. The connection has been quick and reliable, and the adapter does exactly what I wanted it to do: turn an existing wired CarPlay/Android Auto setup into a wireless one without replacing the car's system. For something this small, it makes a noticeable difference in everyday driving. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade if your vehicle already supports wired CarPlay or Android Auto.

Worth it! It works!
Love the quick and simple set up for wireless carplay. My new Iphone 18 PRO MAX connected on my 2020 Subaru STI easily. Its in the center console as well so you will never see it. Clean look with no wires. The only bad thing is that it got pretty warm when used.

So much easier for being wireless
I have been a Rexing dashcam customer for 7+ years and have been quite happy with the purchases. This is my 2nd purchase of the android auto as well as apple carplay adapter. I was getting tired of replacing the cable to connect my smartphone to activate android auto and sometimes it just does not work causing delays and unnecessary headache. I experienced built in wireless in a premium rental car and was very impressed. This wireless adapter solved those issues and works as advertised, I tested it for apple CarPlay as well and it just works. Its very compact and accomodate both usb c and usb A connectors. I tested it on a Honda HRV and a Honda Pilot.

Tiny, Hidden, Reliable, & Convenient
The Rexing CPW-42 is an absolute lifesaver if you're tired of constantly plugging your phone in every time you hop in the car. Setting it up is a total breeze—you literally just plug it into your dash, pair it up with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and you're good to go. The best part is the auto-connect feature. Now, the second the engine starts, my phone syncs up immediately in the background. I don't even have to take my phone out of my pocket, which is awesome for quick errands or the daily morning rush.As far as performance goes, it's super smooth and has practically zero lag. Maps update in real time, music streams perfectly without skipping, and hands-free voice commands work like a charm. It also plays nice with the steering wheel buttons, so skipping tracks or answering calls is completely seamless. The adapter itself is tiny and tucks away perfectly out of sight. If you want to cut the cords and make your daily drive way more convenient, this little gadget is a no-brainer.
