We are sorry to hear about the disappointing experience you had with your Scosche Bluetooth FM transmitter. First you'll want to ensure that you're tuning your car radio to a "dead", unused frequency. Find a station that does not have an active broadcast and is preferably static covered, and match the frequency on the transmitter to this radio station. Your transmitter has a volume adjustment. Once you've paired and connected your phone to the Bluetooth FM transmitter you can turn and hold the Multifunction knob/dial on the face of the transmitter to the right (clockwise). This will ensure the transmitter's volume is turned up all the way. The loudest volume setting on the transmitter is 30 and you should see "V30" on the display of the transmitter. Seemed super cool and it connected to the radio, but it was constantly full of static and needed the volume to be turned up so high it was a bit unfortunate. I did try it in two vehicles and both times it didn’t stop the static, and also did multiple stations which didn’t help. The other type I tried was an older version of Scoche that did perfectly fine (no static) so I suppose it’s just this version :(

Ignore bad reviews
The bad reviews for this product are from people with room temperature IQs. This worked flawlessly for me and I got tunes bumping in my 2000 Honda CR-v in a minute. My only qualm is that the plastic encasing feels really low quality but durability shouldn't really be a factor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Scosche BTFM5-SP Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit for a few weeks now, and overall, it’s a solid device.. The setup was super easy—just plug it into the car’s AUX port, pair it with my phone, and I was done. The sound quality is impressive for such a small device, with clear calls and decent music playback. It does a great job of canceling background noise, which is great for calls on the go. One of the best features is the voice-activated controls, which make it super convenient to make calls, change tracks, or even send a text without taking your hands off the wheel. Im also love having 2 UBS ports available. 🫶 My only issue is that it can be tricky trying to change the channels. I struggled with it quite a bit in the beginning. Instructions are going be required with this purchase. Overall, this is a great hands-free solution for anyone looking to add Bluetooth functionality to an older car. Would definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being a person who drives an older vehicle, something like this is essential for streaming music in the car. I previously used something similar that used an aux cord, and the sound quality on this is much better, however it reduces the volume of what I’m trying to listen to, which is a problem, because I want it LOUD. It’s super easy to install, just plug it in and tune it to the right channel, but it’s a pain because you have to reconnect to Bluetooth on your phone every time you use it. I wish it just did it automatically. They are pretty cheap, I would recommend to someone who is on a budget, but I’m sure there are better options.

I have an older car so I do love that it shows me to be Hands-Free and I can stream my own music. It was simple to set up and I'd definitely recommend for cars that don't have Bluetooth.

Not great Bluetooth for hands free

The one thing we like about it is that it works nicely to play Spotify through the speakers. The reason we gave it a two star is because the Bluetooth is terrible. Anytime he calls me from it in the car, he cuts out consistently throughout the conversation, even when in good service areas.

if you have an older Infiniti car, try this out!!
i have an infiniti g37x sedan which are known for having terrible aux issues in the “older” models. i’ve tried every possible way to find a way to play my music in my car and this transmitter works amazing!!! there’s hardly any distracting static in between or during songs and the sound quality is awesome. super easy to set up too, it only took a few mins. i highly recommend this product, it was the best $25 i’ve spent!

Its great for charging and did not have any issues using it. I noticed it did not drop calls or have connection issues when using so i recommend it for older cars that do not have bluetooth.

It was very easy to set it up and start enjoying all of its features. I love that is can change music from my phone apps without even touching my phone because it can be controlled from the Bluetooth. My phone calls sound nice and clear too. This is a must have for older cars.
