A: Hi MiamiJohn, thanks for reaching out about Just Wireless Bluetooth FM Transmitter - Black. These are the setup steps found for this device. (1) Plug device into your car cigarette lighter socket. (2) LED display lights up and shows: 13.5-bt-107.6 (3) Bluetooth connection: After initial sequence is displayed, the device is ready to pair with voice prompt: "Waiting for connection." On your smartphone, enable Bluetooth function, search available devices, select "Just Wireless" and pair. Once connected, there is a voice prompt: "Bluetooth connection success." (4) Turn on FM on your car radio, and find a vacant (unoccupied) channel. Then adjust the frequency on the device to match the frequency on your car radio. (5) Adjust the FM transmitter frequency: Press and hold multifunction knob button until the frequency display flickers, rotate the knob button to adjust the FM transmitting frequency to be the same as your car radio. Not for me
So, as for the charging aspect...It charges but not super fast. Also, keep in mind that it may not charge while the car is turned off depending on your vehicles make and model. This can he annoying when you're trying to charge your phone, but you're running errands and having to shut the car off. As for the transmitting part, it says to find a station that is not transmitting, but every station was transmitting, so I couldn't find a station to play anything. I have no idea how to fix this, so now I'm stuck with an expensive charger. Not only can I not get it to connect to my car, but I have to keep it unplugged because every time I get in my phone automatically connects to it. Also, even when I was in my house it would sometimes connect my phone making me miss phone calls because I couldn't hear it.

Works fine for price
I don’t have any experience using other Bluetooth transmitters, but for the price I feel this device works well. Others I looked at were twice the price or more. It took a while to find a station that worked without giving feedback. For calls, I’ve been told it’s loud on the other end but it’s clear on my end. It also seems one usb port works better for charging than the other (and it’s not the port labeled with the lightning bolt charging icon).

Works well with one flaw
This Bluetooth connector works well. My only reason I gave it a 3 is the voice to let you know it's connected is very loud. Louder than the music I play. Besides that it connects easily every time and sounds great.

Had trouble at first, but works great!
The quality sounds great, when you adjust it to a station, which I first had trouble with. The device said to connect it to 107.8, but my radio would not go to that station. So, what I did was to hold on the green phone button, wait for the little screen to blink, and then turn it to 107.9. Once I did that, I was able to listen to my music. The quality of the sound is great! And so far, it has not gone static in any part of my area!

Easy to use
Super easy to connect to your phone. Just adjust to a station connect through bluetooth and done! I can answer calls and chatge my phone as well. No static or dropped calls. Sounds clear and overall happy with this.

Easy to set up and works well enough
This is a really neat gadget! It was super easy to set up. Just find an empty station on your radio, set the gadget the the same number, connect your Bluetooth and voila! It works with my son’s Android tablet and my iPhone. The only thing I don’t like is that I have to reconnect every time I get back in the car, and sometimes the music sounds static-y (not clear). Also, I have to turn the volume up way louder than I would if I were listening to the radio. Remember to turn it down before you switch back to radio!! Overall it does work and it’s easy to use and I like it.

Simple to use and works great with an iPhone
This is a very compact and simple device for pairing a Bluetooth device (including phones) with the radio in your car. You simply plug it into the 12 volt accessory port (also referred to as the cigarette lighter port), tune your car’s FM radio to an empty station/frequency (where you only hear static), set the device to the same frequency, pair your phone to the device, and you’re ready to go. It measures about 1.75” wide, 2” tall, and about 3” long. When plugged in to your car’s port it sticks out about 1.75” to the knob and about 1.5” to the front. Once it’s paired to your phone it connects quickly again once you start the car. You can control the volume from your car’s radio and your phone. Know that it has two alerts when you start the car and both can be very loud if your phone’s volume and car’s volume is high. One alert is to confirm the voltage is correct in the port and the other is to confirm the Bluetooth connection status. I had to try a few frequencies to find one where there wasn’t any static or background humming, but otherwise it’s very easy to use. It’s a great option for older vehicles that don’t have Bluetooth or for vehicles that have terrible Bluetooth systems.
