Q: could you tell me the dimensions of the turntable base itself, without the speakers. The specifications list the overall width as 28.75 inches, but I'm trying to figure out how much space the turntable unit alone takes up.

Amazing purchase. I had the Victrola suit case record player and this has much better sound. The sound on the video is barely on maybe 1/4 sound not even!

Fabulous sound!!
I bought this turntable after listening to my daughter's which she received for Christmas. It has such a wonderful sound making 60 year old records sound brand new! I love the speakers that can be set up in different configurations. I am so pleased with my purchase! I definitely recommend this player!!
