I use this chair for my desk, and it works perfectly. I needed a wider chair because my dog likes to curl up right against me, and regular chairs were just too small for the both of us. The seat cushion is extremely firm, which is perfect for me since I want height and support sitting at my desk. But it might be too firm for others who want to sink into their chair. The back of the chair is not as strong as I would have liked and wiggles a little since there isn’t a continuous piece of wood that connects the back legs to the top of the chair. But as long as I don’t lean back really hard, I think it should hold up.
