A: Hi, thank you for reaching out about Riptunes Cassette Player and Recorder -Grey. To record audio with your grey Riptunes Cassette Player and Recorder, follow these steps: 1. Prepare Your Cassette Check the Tabs: Ensure the cassette has its "write-protect" tabs intact (the small plastic squares on the top edge). If they are missing, cover the holes with adhesive tape to allow recording. Insert the Tape: Open the deck and insert your blank cassette with the exposed tape side facing up. 2. Choose Your Recording Source Built-in Microphone: For voice recordings, use the built-in microphone. External Microphone: Plug an external mic into the dedicated Mic Port. Digital Sources: If your model has a switch, flip it to AUX/USB/BT to record from those external sources directly to the tape. 3. Start Recording Press Record: Press the circular Record button. On most models, you must press the Play and Record buttons simultaneously to engage the recording mechanism.
