A detective tries to kill Kenny Barnes, forcing him to run because The Regime believes he killed the comptroller. Desperate and bleeding, he kidnaps a Regime doctor, who must decide if Kenny is guilty or innocent.

This was an exciting set of events that felt like a readable roller coaster full of emotions. You have love, death, mystery, excitement, humor, and everything wrapped up in one book. I am so excited to read the rest of the series to find out what happens. I could definitely see this being made into a movie. Though this book was futuristic, I was still able to connect to the characters and sympathize with their emotions. Well written and entertaining, would highly recommend it.
