A: Correct, S360 Color Pens are water-based dye inks subject to fading from UV exposure. They are not archival and should be protected from sunlight to enjoy their vibrant colors for longer. UV reducing glass may extend their colors. Use caution if applying an archival spray or medium as a protective coat, as moisture may also cause smudging or bleeding. Pretest before applying to artwork.

A: No, S360 Color Pens are made with a water-based dye that does not provide the level of water-resistance or surface adhesion that "permanent" markers do. Permanent markers are made with either alcohol or oil-based solvents that bind to a variety of surfaces with a high degree of water and smudge-resistance once dry. S360 Color Pens work best on absorbent papers, and if you rewet them, you can smudge or cause them to bleed to achieve artistic effects. S360 Color Pens are commonly used for adult coloring pages, hand-lettering, school projects, and journaling. S360 Color Pens offer vibrant, long-lasting colors under the right conditions, and even many "permanent" markers will fade if exposed to direct sunlight. If you need truly archival permanence, shop for chemically stable, waterproof, lightfast inks that are pigment-based.
