Don't buy this new designed razor
Why did they change the design? The new razor is terrible. I just had to use two and still feel stubble. The old design was a solid workhorse, and not broken, so why fix it (make it worse)? I bought the old one for 25 years and will not buy this new one ever again. Hair gets trapped between the blades and banging on the tile or running under water will not get it out. The old design had a button on top to clear it. Extremely disappointed with Schick’s new design here and will be looking for a new shave option.

Changed, much worse now
They recently made major changes to this razor, not for the better. Much worse now, previously they had a rubber grip handle, now the handle is slippery when wet. Before they had a very slim head, now the head is thick and more difficult to maneuver around the face now. New version seems cheap in terms of the quality.

Quality deminished
The quality of these has gone down while the price went up. Multiple razors came with the blade head. The blades are rough and nick easily. The angle of the blades are bad. Cheaper plastic, cheaper blades. No cleaning button. Has a bar that purposefully scratches your skin right before the blade. On the right is the old version.

Updated product fail.
They changed the structure and size of the razor head making it bulkier so its harder to do precision shaving. They went from simple to more complex. Why? Now if I can't find an alt option, I'll learn to straight shave. Taking it back to old school may be the better solution at this point.

Redesign is a premium upgrade!
The redesign is an improvement, provides closer shave and much sharper and feels a lot more premium, you got a higher quality blade and instead complaining about it. Buy cheaper blades then this is now a mid tier option. Since its bigger its harder to get detailed spots like under nose so I just have to try a bit harder to reach. Much better design!

Huge downgrade from the previous design which was flawless
I have been using these razors for at least 15 years and they have recently changed the design to this razor (unbeknownst to me) and the result is disappointing. It does not work well, you will miss hairs, it doesn't contour well and the handle doesn't grip or hold as well as the old design. Why change it when it was working so well? I will be returning these.

I was so confused why I could not find the original schick razor in the search. Only the sensitive version came up. Now I realize from the comments there was a redesign. These are terrible razors in comparison to the old design. I cannot get a close shave and they go dull so quickly. I have to find a new brand now. 😕

Another one bites the dust
What in the downward spiral of 2026 is this new razor?! This was my go-to, old trusty, not-awesome-but-got-the-job-done razor I could always count on. The new design has a very flimsy handle, bending with just a bit of pressure and does not feel the least bit sturdy, and the little doo-dad that clears hair from the blades has been removed. DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THIS GARBAGE.

Awful new redesign - ignore the rating from old reviews
Bad redesign. I’m sure the new style was product tested, but they must have missed those of us who appreciated the simplicity of the fixed head and quality for the price. The new pivoting head is far from an upgrade. It makes this just like all the other bad cheap razors on the market. The blades seem worse too. After over a decade of getting these as they switched names from the Slim Twin, I won’t be purchasing again until they change it back. Ironically looking at spending more upfront on a traditional double ended razor with cheap replaceable blades.

Time to look for a new razor...
I was loyal to the Schick brand disposable sensitive twin blade razors for over two decades. In that time, the product went through some name changes, but the razor design itself never changed...until now. To say this new iteration of an old favorite is disappointing is an understatement. I realize this cheap and poor quality new design may save Schick some coins, but it will definitely cost them some longtime customers like myself. Some change can be good, but this is not the case here. Hopefully, they abandon this dud and return to the original design.

I have purchased Schick blades for many years. As of recent the Schick Xtreme 2 blade has replaced the original Schick blades. My review on this product the blade does not shave as it should, therefore I will no longer purchase. Save your money and purchase a different brand that will work.
