The back if these are covered in carnival prize stuffed animal material. I bought a room essentials one 8 years ago that has lasted amazing. So well, I bought one to send to college for my kids freshman year. It’s nowhere near the same quality, and twice as much. Returning.

This is a nice pillow but while it had a zipper, apparently it’s not meant to come off and be washed. And don’t worry, it’s impossible to find an alternative cover. Why wouldn’t it be washable and why wouldn’t you sell more covers. Dumbest pillow ever. Of course my kid loves it.
