I never thought I’d feel genuine affection for a bin liner, but here we are. The Simplehuman type H liners are so perfectly tailored to my bin that I half expect them to send me a Christmas card. They slide in like they were born there, and when it’s time to take them out—no tugging, no tearing, no “bin juice” horror movie moments. Just a dignified lift, as if my rubbish is being chauffeured out of the house. They’re strong enough to survive the apocalypse. I once overfilled one with takeaway boxes, potato peelings, and what I swear was a brick (don’t ask), and it didn’t flinch. Not a stretch mark, not a whisper of a tear. Honestly, I think the bag was mocking me: “Is that all you’ve got?” Yes, they’re more expensive than your average supermarket liners, but that’s like comparing a tailored tuxedo to a plastic poncho. Once you’ve tried these, going back to cheap bags feels like betrayal. In short: I came for the bin liner, I stayed for the life upgrade.
