A: She is asking if she can use it with another version of Dawn not another cleaning product, Dawn. So unless I am reading this incorrectly, yes you can use different scents with the same trigger sprayer.

A: Thank you, Melissa, for asking if your Dawn Platinum Powerwash Spray bottle is recyclable. The bottle itself can be recycled at any facility that accepts plastic #1. They sprayer needs to be tossed in the garbage.

Does “while ensuring“ mean both the trigger and bottle are now recyclable? I know the trigger now uses plastic springs, is the rest of the spray mechanism really OK to recycle?

A: To me it smelled like whiskey. I threw out my sponge & laundered my cloth thinking they had gone funky?! Later realized it was the soap. To be fair..one roommate agreed and the other did not.

Terrible packaging!
Terrible packaging!! These are not sealed at all and leaked everywhere. Plus now I have one that I have to make sure won’t leak while using the other. Dawn needs to add a seal to these! Ridiculous.

Misleading Free and Clear label
This product is misleading in its “free and clear” branding. It is not free and clear of scent, one of the main reasons people buy this type of product. It has a sickening sweet smell.

Its new smell is horrible and I will find another brand. Why change something that worked? I bought 3 bottles recently and thought I just got a defective one but Nope! I bet you can’t even use it on wildlife that needs rescuing.

Great for cleaning!
Since Dawn changed the formula, this is the only version that doesn't irritate my sinuses. Don't be fooled by the "free & clear"-- this product IS fragranced, just not as much as the regular versions, plus no dyes. It smells light and fresh and rinses clean. Much easier than dealing with liquid soap, and takes the grease off faster. Definitely not okay for hand-washing, it's more stripping than regular dawn soap. Also works great for cleaning around the house! This leaves my tub floor completely clean and free of slippery soap residue, gives my windows a streak-free shine (hint: use with a damp coffee filter), and takes every day messes off my stovetop. Harsh on wood, it stripped the finish off my dining table, so be cautious!

Terrible new scent
The new scent is terrible. When my husband first used it, I checked the garbage to ensure there was no rotting fruit in it. The new scent is nauseating and gives me a headache. I am so disappointed. I’ve been a loyal user for decades. I can no longer have this product in my home, much less use it.
