Q: Can I use the free and clear refill with dawn regular power wash spray head?
A: She is asking if she can use it with another version of Dawn not another cleaning product, Dawn. So unless I am reading this incorrectly, yes you can use different scents with the same trigger sprayer.
submitted byJuneway1W - 9 months agoA: No. Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray has a unique formula designed to work with the sprayer to deliver superior cleaning performance on your dishes. Refilling the bottle with other products is not recommended and may result in a malfunction of the sprayer.

Q: Are the empty containers recyclable?
A: Thank you, Melissa, for asking if your Dawn Platinum Powerwash Spray bottle is recyclable. The bottle itself can be recycled at any facility that accepts plastic #1. They sprayer needs to be tossed in the garbage.
submitted byDawn - 3 years agoBrand expertA: Regarding recyclability, a 2023 answer said the trigger is not recyclable, but the 2025 P&G Blog says “Dawn Powerwash customers can purchase refills, minimizing waste while ensuring the trigger is now fully recyclable.” which is less than clear. Does “while ensuring“ mean both the trigger and bottle are now recyclable? I know the trigger now uses plastic springs, is the rest of the spray mechanism really OK to recycle?

Q: Does it come with a refill?
A: Thank you, Luna, for reaching out to us and asking if your Dawn Platinum Powerwash Spray, Free & Clear Starter Kit, comes with a refill. It should, but the pictures and price on this particular one makes us think it may be misidentified. We encourage you to call Target and ask them if this particular listing includes a refill, or if it's a non-refill Powerwash bottle. Their number is 1 (800) 440-0680.
submitted byDawn - 3 years agoBrand expertA: I bought it and it did not come with a refill.

Q: What does this smell like? How is this "free and clear" if fragrance is added?
A: To me it smelled like whiskey. I threw out my sponge & laundered my cloth thinking they had gone funky?! Later realized it was the soap. To be fair..one roommate agreed and the other did not.
submitted bytippy - 3 years agoA: Dawn Platinum Powerwash Dish Spray Free & Clear is free of dyes and strong perfumes. It has a light pear scent.

Q: Dawn, do you think that the justification of "free & clear" here being "clear-colored so you can see through the soap, free of coloration" (and not fragrance-free) is reasonable? Be so for real.
A: Our apologies for any confusion. We'll share your feedback with our team. This dish soap is free of dyes and strong perfumes. You may want to check out our Dawn E-Z Squeeze Free & Clear Fragrance-Free dish soap as it sounds like that's exactly what you're looking for.

Q: The P&G Blog says “Dawn Powerwash customers can purchase refills, minimizing waste while ensuring the trigger is now fully recyclable.” which is less than clear. Does “while ensuring“ mean the whole bottle is now recyclable?
A: The bottle is recyclable where facilities exist (plastic #1); the sprayer is not recyclable.
