Q: Can I use the free and clear refill with dawn regular power wash spray head?
A: She is asking if she can use it with another version of Dawn not another cleaning product, Dawn. So unless I am reading this incorrectly, yes you can use different scents with the same trigger sprayer.
submitted byJuneway1W - 3 months agoA: No. Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray has a unique formula designed to work with the sprayer to deliver superior cleaning performance on your dishes. Refilling the bottle with other products is not recommended and may result in a malfunction of the sprayer.

Q: Are the empty containers recyclable?
A: Thank you, Melissa, for asking if your Dawn Platinum Powerwash Spray bottle is recyclable. The bottle itself can be recycled at any facility that accepts plastic #1. They sprayer needs to be tossed in the garbage.
submitted byDawn - 2 years agoBrand expertA: Regarding recyclability, a 2023 answer said the trigger is not recyclable, but the 2025 P&G Blog says “Dawn Powerwash customers can purchase refills, minimizing waste while ensuring the trigger is now fully recyclable.” which is less than clear. Does “while ensuring“ mean both the trigger and bottle are now recyclable? I know the trigger now uses plastic springs, is the rest of the spray mechanism really OK to recycle?

Q: Does this have a fragrance or is it unscented?
A: There is a fragrance.

Q: Why is this called "free and clear" when for 20 years, people have relied on that label to mean fragrance- and dye-free? I bought this and the sprayer and couldn't use them because of the fragrance!
A: We apologize for this confusion, as it's our hope our consumers will always be satisfied by our products. Your experience with Dawn Platinum Powerwash Spray, Free & Clear scent should be completely satisfying and safe to use. The Free & Clear Powerwash Spray is free of dyes, so you can see right through the soap. The fragrance is a light pear.
