Sleep While They Sleep - by Kate Spooner (Paperback)

Book Synopsis

Maternity leave takes an ominous turn when a young woman's curiosity over her neighbors spirals into obsession.

This thriller debut, inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window, is full of suspense and will leave readers in breathless anticipation until the very last page.

New mom Gabby Sutton would give anything--her promotion at work, millions of hard-earned travel points, her last shred of dignity--for a few uninterrupted hours of sleep. She just needs a break from the endless cycle of nursing, burping, and changing diapers. But telling herself she's got this isn't cutting it anymore, because (spoiler alert) she doesn't.

That all changes one night when she observes a young couple from neighboring houses get swept up in a secret rooftop rendezvous. Donning a pair of binoculars, Gabby starts tuning in to all her neighbors.

Until a teenage girl goes missing.

Confronted with the possibility that something sinister is going on in her sliver of suburbia, Gabby must contend with the possibility that one of her neighbors is hiding something--and might even be a killer.

Review Quotes

Praise for Sleep While They Sleep:
"A fantastic slow burn thriller that quickly becomes truly addictive. Spooner shines at putting us right inside the heads of three very different women and then making them relatable even when they're not entirely likable. Sleep While They Sleep starts with a brilliant premise that Spooner spins into an extremely satisfying domestic suspense novel with a heck of a twist. I think Hitchcock would approve."
