Q: Does the lid sit flush against the corner bowls when latched?

A: No it does not. There is some room between the corner bowls and the lid when latched. This allows the lid to be closed and latched even if food is slightly mounded inside each of the bowls
I needed something to organize cut up veggies so we stop wasting money on food going bad in the back of the fridge. Took a chance on this and glad I did. It is sturdy quality, and the latches actually latch, like how things used to be made. I love how customizable it is. And I love that it can go in the dishwasher. With summer coming up I came back to get a second one for cut up cheese, fruit, etc.
