Description
The Sony 128GB CFexpress Type B TOUGH Memory Card provides fast read speeds up to 1700 MB/s along with write speeds up to 1480 MB/s. This quick performance benefits recording a variety of video resolutions, bit-rates, and compressions, as well as high-resolution continuous raw photo shooting. Beyond its speed, this TOUGH memory card also has a reinforced physical design to withstand falls from up to 15' and has been rigidity tested to 70 N of force. It's also resistant to extreme temperatures, X-rays, electrostatic, and UV lighting. Offering further protection, File Rescue recovery software can be downloaded for recovering lost or even accidentally deleted files and Media Scan Utility can be used to automatically scan CFexpress cards and inform you of the flash memory condition.

Sony Tough cards have a pretty solid reputation, and certainly light years ahead of some competitors like Angelbird. Or so I thought for the first couple years. Unfortunately, by the 3rd year the CF Express Tybe B card started developing cracks in the plastic housing. I would expect this from typical card manufacturers known for such issues, but not from the Sony "TOUGH" lineup. This card has never left the camera or card reader and has been pampered its entire life, but simply isn't holding up long-term.
