Cute, well-made and functions as it’s supposed to. I was confident my daughter would be safe in the water. However, the weight limit says this will fit kids up to 55lbs and it was almost too tight for my 47-pound daughter to wear. I was able to squeeze her into it, but had she been any bigger, I would not have been able to fasten it.

The mermaid design appeals to our 2 year old. The vest gives great buoyancy without fear of tipping forward. The shoulders are comfortable, the arm floats allow freedom to kick legs and move arms. It is Coast Guard approved and Speedo quality.

The buckle strap is too short. My child is within weight limit (45 lbs) and though I extended the strap to the end, it is still too tight. Will have to return.

Not true to size. My toddler isn’t even 40lbs and is of average size… (not too skinny or heavy) and the buckle strap is so short she can barely fit in it. You would be better off finding one with a longer strap.

My daughter loved the colors and these are great for helping toddlers learn to swim! I wouldn’t consider them an ample replacement for a life jacket, as the child is often positioned on their stomach. Not suitable for toddlers to be left alone while swimming or who can’t control body movement. All of that being said, we love them for our purposes!!
