Q: Just double-checking: The wood is not sealed at all, so it should not be used as-is? It requires stain or paint, which can be applied after just wiping down the wood - no sanding or other prep needed?

A: The wood is not sealed. You can leave it unfinished or stain/paint it to your liking. Prep is not required

Difficult to Finish
Love the table itself. Difficult to stain. Feels like there’s a coating of some sort on top, because stain was very blotchy despite sanding. Will have to paint over it since it looks so ratchet now.

Very well made table
I still have the table in parts, as we are moving in about six weeks. I did not expect the table to have the weight it does, and to be so well made. I am impressed. I'm going to stain it oak and finish with urethane. I'd buy this table again, all day long.

A solid built
This table is a great quality solid wood. I love that the wood tone is unfinished so I can’t wait to use some Early American stain to get it to my liking but I highly recommend this table. And the price is good also.

This console table is made very well. It’s super sturdy yet was supper easy to assemble. I plan on distressing it a bit and staining it. Can’t wait to see it all done up.

Great Table
Love the table! It is pure solid wood and looks great after putting two coats of 'Golden Oak' wood stain on it. Fits perfectly the living room. Would definitely recommend.

Luv the real wood!
The wood is real not fake. It even smells good like fresh sawn wood. The fasteners worked well and it took me (by myself) about 20 or 30 minutes from box to full assembly.

Perfect Entryway Table
We stained it to match the cabinetry in our home and it looks so elegant in the entry. Very sturdy and heavy- not made from junk! Best bang for your buck for sure!!
