Description

Splat scores of enemies and hunt for treasure in a single-player focused action shooter

Play as a mechanic working with Deep Cut—a trio of swashbuckling musicians—and venture out into the mysterious Spirhalite Islands! Customize your character, kit yourself out with mechanical gadgets and ink-splattering weapons, and take on waves of foes called Salmonids as you raid the islands for salvage.

    One of the best in the series.

    As someone who’s always appreciated the Splatoon series, this was a welcome surprise. The moment-to-moment gameplay got me hooked near instantly. The level of customization you can apply to your gadgets is superbly in-depth, being able to mow down hoards of Salmonids once strong enough, even smaller nuances like being able to keep whatever you collected even when you failed a raid. But I also want to set expectations; it ain’t perfect either. I felt like the game started off really slow by the beginning, some bits of the game felt somewhat repetitive, and sometimes in certain moments I question if this game would be beginner friendly. But that’s also about it in terms of criticism. The plot’s neat to follow, the characters are much more expressive and developed, the whole package. It may not be my favorite game on Switch 2, but it’s for sure a must.

    Splatoon Raiders is exactly what the switch 2 needed. This game is absolutely a fresh breath of air from gameplay to graphics and in my opinion an absolute must have for the switch 2. It’s incredibly fun and I’m enjoying it very much. Nintendo hit it out of the park on this game.

    I absolutely love this game! not only can I grind high level raids and just level up, I can let my kids play and there's no loss of data or loot, so they can play to their hearts content. my only downside is no couch co-op, but that's me nitpicking.

    The gameplay loop is fun and addictive, on release day I spent 7 hours on the game. The co-op works perfectly. You can create a lobby for friends to join online or co-op, ask random people to join you on missions or okay solo, and queue into random missions to help others out. The art style is cartoonish which is inline with the rest of the series and it’s lovely. Runs perfectly at 60 fps in handheld and docked 4k. 10/10 would recommend.
