This product offers a unique opportunity for guests to engage in a fun assembly project, particularly for older children and adults. While the lightsabers are visually appealing and provide a great play experience once assembled, many guests found the assembly process challenging due to small parts and unclear instructions. Despite these hurdles, the final product can be enjoyable for fans of the franchise, making it a memorable activity for families.

WhatWhat stinks about this set is that the quality of the individual parts is really nice, but it was impossible to put together. First of all, my 6 year old could definitely not do any part himself, I had to do it all. This is not made for kids at all. But what really upset me was that the screws wouldn't screw into the battery section, so we could not complete them and I will be returning.

Trash
Tiny screws and washers that the thread sucks. Wast of time and money. Dumbest product you’ll ever buy.

Fully assembled the piece (not for the lighthearted - you need a lot of tools at home that are specialized) and the toggle switch doesn’t turn on and off. We’ll need to completely take it apart for it to get the battery replaced.

Unlicensed product
I'd give zero star if I could. Do not buy this. This product is advertised with Star Wars branding but does not appear to be an officially licensed Star Wars product. There is no Lucasfilm license notice on the packaging, which is a serious red flag. On top of that, the product is terrible. It is marketed for ages 6+ but even adults cannot build it, and it did not work after we assembled it. The instructions are confusing and the tutorial video skips a major step. I am also very disappointed that Target is selling what appears to be a knock off product in their store. Save your money.

Get angry FAST kit
The instructions are so confusing. There is a QR code saying they have a helpful video but the video is just as horrible. The video also skips a major step of the building process. Aggressive waste of money and time

This is a poorly designed kit and definitely not suitable for a child to assemble.

The instructions are terrible. This is not for a 6 year old. An adult will most likely have to help with a large portion of it. I also ran out of the provided glue very quickly, so have some super glue on hand.

Entertaining but can be difficult to assemble
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a toy that definitely needs an adult to help assemble. They have very small pieces so they should be done by older than 6 year olds. Overall they are great mini replicas. They shine bright when turned on. They are fun to have mini duels with without a lot off attention.

Hard To Assemble
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love this; however it was not my son’s favorite Star Wars toy. The packaging says for 6+ but I find it hard to believe considering my 12 year old struggled. It’s a great craft to do together.

For older kids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kit indicates that it is for ages 6 and up. I would not recommend it for any kid younger than 9 or 10 unless the adult wants to do all the work. I have 2 children aged 12 and 16 and they were able to construct the lightsabers on their own, but it was not easy, especially for my 12 year old. The kit come with batteries and glue, but not a tiny screwdriver which is needed. We were lucky to have a tiny screwdriver (like for glasses), but not everyone has a screwdriver that small and it is necessary to put these together. The screws are super tiny and there are a lot of small parts that go I to this. I am not suggesting that a 6 year old would swallow them, but the dexterity required for this project is very fine. Also, including a mini screwdriver would be very helpful.

Cool light saber kit!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was pretty cool if you are a Star Wars fan. Easy to assemble and fun for the kids. I wish they would have had these when I was a kid. Seems pretty sturdy and material was not cheap.

Too advanced, cool once built
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We wanted to love this. Even my husband had a lot of difficulty putting the light sabers together. The product did not come with clear directions or all the pieces, so we had to use electrical tape to get the red one to stay together, but it does not light up consistently. Definitely not for a 7 year old. He had fun with them once they were built, but they were too advanced a project.

Frustrating to put together.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My honest review. Pros: I was a free sample. It fits nicely in the trash. Cons: My teenager tried to put it together. After an hour, he broke his lightsaber in half out of frustration and threw it away.

Not easy and not for kids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was pretty difficult to put together. It took my husband an hour just to put one together and then he realized it was missing the same parts for the second light saber. I was excited to get this for my 6 yo who can put LEGO sets together with minimal help and was thinking this would be a good challenge but this was too difficult for a beginner to assemble. The one they built was nice and fun while it lasted, but the battery died after an hour or so. Overall would only recommend for an adult collector as long as all the pieces are there. These are small and not for actual play.

Not a kid toy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cheap parts that were very small and hard to assemble. The blue Lightsaber doesn't light up very brightly. The instructions were very basic and hard to follow. "I received this product free for my honest opinion on Influenster "

Great toy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put this together with my son and it was very fun! I am very glad it came with a battery. It did not take terribly long and now he likes playing with it along with his other toys. It’s been holding up very well so no issues there. I will definitely look into their other toys to assemble together.

Great assemblyproject to do with kids.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fun, entertaining project to do with the kids. Assembly is a little tricky for adults as the screws and nuts are very very small but with the help of a kid it makes it easier. Thlightsabers are small so they are not very durable for playing with.

Fun little lightsabers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the kind of activity you are probably going to finish for your child. It was tricky and my nine and thirteen year old both skipped a step. Aside from a tiny screw my husband said it wasn’t too hard to put together. My red one doesn’t glow nearly as much, I don’t know if it’s defective, but I still love them. I think they are cute, small enough to pair with other toys, or put in a pocket for a trip. Heck if they don’t play with them I will!

Nice lighted saber swords!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Star Wars Construct Your Own Lightsabers are a nice set of light sabers! There is definitely some constructing when putting these sabers together. You have to make sure you get all the little pieces in the right place, but once they are together, they are nice little lighted sabers. One is blue & one is red, 8 inch each, and it also comes with a 2 sided poster for the kids. Definitely a nice toy for older kids and not recommended for smaller kids because of the small pieces!
