Hard no. Messier than you think.
Wish I read reviews before purchasing in store. Regular paint is less messy than this. They crumble and leave little “shavings” everywhere that are extremely messy. Kids track it everywhere. Thankful it’s washable but these went right in the trash after first use. Waste of money.

Messy and sticky.
We received these as a gift. They are so messy, like a colored glue stick. We live in a humid climate and we had a lot of trouble with these drying. Might be more fun for a little kiddo. I would not have these in my house again.

SO easy for tiny humans
These are so smooth to paint/color with! My 2 year old loves them. We use them on mixed media paper and copy paper. They’re almost like an oil pastel. They do take a little time to dry but once they do, the color doesn’t come off and they’re not oily anymore. The only drawback is while being used some of the color kinda comes in flakes or chunks depending on pressure during use and those chunks can be kind of messy. But hey, painting anything with a toddler involves some clean up! I 100% will repurchase these.

Not worth it
I really wanted to like these but they’re not that washable and get gummy quickly. They wound up being just as messy as actual paint but didn’t mix as well. So I would say if you want paint, avoid these and buy actual paint.

Fun, easy, and convenient
Great for medium weight paper (but not for canvas board), Easy use, convenient feature on cap that fits in the back of the paint stick (no runaway caps!). Use plain tap water to thin and blend colors for a "wash" effect. Cleans up on tables and desks with a simple baby wipe or Lysol wipe. Cleans from hands with simple soap and water. Excellent for experimenting with different techniques. PS: The Metallic ones actually show up metallic!

Stains wood floors. Will not wash out.
These stained my wood floors. Maybe if your kid is older, you can risk using these, but since my son is only five, he gets excited and pushes these hard on the paper and big chunks fall to the floor. I have tried every cleaning fluid I have on hand to try to get the stains out, with no luck. It should not claim to be washable if it can stain so easily.

My kids and I love the target brand paint sticks. I thought these would be a good substitute. I Wish I had read the reviews before buying! They crumble as you use them and leave small balls of paint everywhere. Not easy to clean up and stain hands. Regular paint and a brush is way less mess than these (and my kids are 2 and 5). I had to throw these out.

So messy!!
These are such a mess. Bought them for my 4 year old and I regret it. They’re clumpy on the paper and I wouldn’t call them “washable.” We both have stained hands. I threw them away and hope my daughter forgets about them!

Dont do it.
I would give this zero stars if I could. Similar to a giant crayon and not “paint” like at all. Maybe good for a toddler to color but we purchased these for a project board and will be returning. Definitely not worth $10

Stains and not washable
For my older kid they work great. For my younger kid- HUGE mess. Blue stained fingers that won’t wash off at all. Even my hands are stained after washing them 5-10 times.

The worst...
To call these washable is a joke. They are so highly pigmented that they stain everything they touch. The sticks crumble off as they are being used or fall off the artwork once finished. So now there are highly pigmented paint crumbles falling off all around the house. I’ve found it on light switches, floors, walls, tables, everywhere, and it stains. The entire box is now in the trash. We’ve had good luck with the Modo Llama paint sticks, should have just stuck with what’s worked.
