Finally felt brave enough to trust my toddler and these have been the perfect introduction into the world of markers. The size is ideal, especially as she works on properly gripping writing utensils. Usually a quick hand washing with soap and warm water will remove the marks. Since that has not been successful, try using baby wipes, baby oil or make-up remover. The markers are water-based, and you may find that keeping the area moist with water will help to lift the stain. My niece used the markers to colour and decided to colour her legs too, tried to get it off her skin and it spread and did not come off. I do not recommend for kids.

I don't know who is able to wash these off of anything, but it started with stains on our sons hands while drawing in a coloring book. Then he drew a line on his leg which didn't come off with anything... no soap and water, makeup remover, baby oil, baby wipes, alcohol, nothing worked, only made it slightly lighter and transfered the stains on to my hands. The kicker was my son used the red marker so we had to explain to daycare why it looked like a faded whip mark. My husband tested them on a portion of the wall and they didn't came all the way off either. Maybe the formula changed, I don't know, but they're basically permanent marker. We had to throw them out after the second use.

Yes, these are perfect sized for travel, but we love using these anywhere. I'm not an artist, so I can't adequately describe how beautiful the colors are, but I would say they are jewel-toned, and not loud primary and secondary colors. They have been a favorite of my 6 year old and me both.
