  • A: The Step2 MailMaster Hudson Black @ Target requires a wooden post to attach to, the post. With normal soil conditions and level ground, a standard 4"x4" post cut to 78" length is adequate for mounting your MailMaster mailbox with 24" in ground and 54" above ground.

For one it didn't even fit with the correct post and it was very top heavy very bulky as well unfortunately it was a return for us.

Marvelous Mailbox

I absolutely love this mailbox! It’s fairly simple to install. I used my Cricut to add the address numbers on the side (since numbers aren’t included) of the mailbox. It turned out stunning.

Good buy

This mailbox cost less than anything nearly as nice looking that I could find on the market. The actual mailbox is larger than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. It was easy to install and my neighbors liked it so much that they now want one.

The door construction

Nice and sturdy mailbox and post with very easy assembly and good looks. The only problem is with the way the metal piece on the door Is attached. When you close the door the magnet pulls the metal out of the door. I fixed this by taping the metal piece in. The small amount of tape added enough resistance to keep the metal in place. This is something that Step2 should revise as I have seen other similar comments on the issue. Given that I would still purchase the mailbox again.

Perfect Mailbox

We moved into our new home and received this as a housewarming gift. The look of the mailbox goes perfectly with our new home. It was super easy to put together and install by following the directions. It does not come with address numbers so you will need to purchase those separate. The material is durable and will last the changing elements in Ohio's weather. I would recommend this mailbox to any home owner that was something a little different from their neighbor.

Great find for the price!

I love this mailbox, it is big enough so I can get packages. Assembly was easy and it is very sturdy. I would have given it 5 stars, but a few days of being in the sun it has warped on one side. Great find for the price!
