Get to know Max! A fun read!

Just finished Stranger Things Runaway Max. Runaway Max is a short but fun Stranger Things novel. If you've watched the show, you already know about a third of the story—the boys meeting Max, her arrival in Hawkins, and the events from season 2. The real meat of the book is what the show only hints at: Max Mayfield’s life before Hawkins. It digs into her past, her family, and her brutal, abusive stepfather and Billy's relationship with him, in a way the series never had time for. It’s an alternate perspective on familiar events, filling in the emotional gaps and giving Max far more depth. If you want to understand who Max really is and where she came from before season 2 ever started, this book is for you! 4½⭐️'s
