The flavor is dull and artificial, lacking the creamy, cheesy taste you’d expect from a good queso dip. The texture feels thick and pasty rather than smooth and melty, and it doesn’t heat up well either — it stays kind of clumpy and greasy. Even though it’s labeled “mild,” it still has an odd aftertaste that makes it hard to enjoy with chips or tacos. Overall, it tastes nothing like the queso from Taco Bell restaurants and feels like a poor imitation. Definitely not worth the price or the calories.

As soon as I brought it out everyone in my family dug in with tortilla chips. The flavor was excellent-it wasn’t too spicy but had a more interesting flavor than just plain nacho cheese. It stuck to tortilla chips really well and was very smooth. This was a really easy way to make a get together more fun with a bit of Taco Bell at home.

The spiciness is there from the jalapeño which I was shocked about for being mild. It definitely tastes better warmed up than out of the jar, but both are yummy! For the rest of the jar, I think adding a little milk and maybe some protein will make it even better.
