Use it to protect clothing and other linens from moth damage during storage. It works by releasing a fast-acting formula that kills moths within 24 hours. Best of all, the product is odorless, so you don’t have to deal with an unpleasant moth ball odor lingering on your clothes. TERRO Clothes Moth Killer is easy to use. Simply remove the foil liner to activate the product, then hang the unit on the closet bar or from a hanger in the center of the closet or place it in the top of a storage container. This product can be used in closets, wardrobes, drawers, chests, trunks, storage bags, containers, or anywhere clothing or other linens are stored. For best results, doors, drawers, zippers, or lids of treatment areas should be closed when you’re not using them. Replace the product every 6 months for continued protection. Note: Always use the appropriate number of units for the space being treated. One unit treats up to 64 cubic feet. If more than one unit is needed for the space being treated, space units evenly throughout the treatment area.

A: Terro Clothes Moth Killer Pest Barriers are designed to work in enclosed storage areas such as closets, wardrobes, drawers, and storage containers. However, the product needs adequate space for the vapors to circulate. If the closet or storage box is packed extremely tightly, the barriers may not work as effectively because there is limited air circulation around the treated area.
For best results, follow the label directions and avoid overcrowding the treated space.

Q: Is the liquid inside supposed to dissipate. I have two traps in a closet for months and the liquid level remains the same.

A: Hi, thank you for reaching out. Yes. The liquid is designed to slowly evaporate and can last up to 6 months under normal conditions. To activate the trap, make sure the foil cover on the back has been completely removed. If the foil is still covering the opening, the liquid may not dissipate as intended.
