The Lupus Diet Plan - by Laura Rellihan (Paperback)

About the Book

More than 1.5 million Americans live with lupus, and while prescription medications offer many benefits, they also carry with them a number of side effects that can be just as painful and stressful as lupus itself. Most people are unfamiliar with the critical role that nutrition can play in soothing and healing their lupus symptoms and the side effects of common lupus medications.

Review Quotes

"This book is perfect. I love that the recipes are easy and each gives you a tip of how to make it easier through a flare or thing that can be added to benefit you in a flare. You can tell the author understands chronic illness. Through a severe flare, I can't even get out of bed much less cook, but none of these recipes are complex. Love the way it is set up." -- Customer Review

"This is a great book for anyone looking to eat healthier regardless of whether you have Lupus or not. I love the ideas around breaking habits and the ease of using the meal plans and grocery lists. The recipes look delicious and I'm looking forward to trying many of them! The author has a positive and inspiring outlook and I enjoyed reading the book front to back." -- Customer Review

"This is a great resource for those newly diagnosed with lupus. It starts by talking about the disease itself and how to manage stress and fatigue. I also found some great tips on addressing emotional and mental health, which a lot of cookbooks do not. I like the different meal plans for reducing fatigue or treating a flare. I also like the fact that the recipes are simple and reduce a lot of slicing and dicing, which is difficult for lupus patients who suffer from stiff joints." -- Customer Review
