A: Hi there! There is no valve inside the straw. The leak proof valve is actually on the inside lid of the cup! The straw is connected to this valve, but the valve is not within the straw itself. Please visit the QR code in the instructions for directions on valve cleaning and reassembly.

I think these are great. My boy just turned one and doesnt like to sit still. I feel comfortable letting him roam with these as they have never leaked for us! They are easy to clean because everything comes apart. I also appreciate the oz still on the side as we try to limit milk.

I wanted to like it so badly. I like the design and that it fits in the cup holder unlike the other straw cup but the weight doesn’t move around that much and most importantly for me the straws are too short for my baby and the water does not come out smoothly. He keeps spitting it out because the water comes up with air nonstop. I tested it myself and yes, the straws are not see through either. They will be donated.

the straws for the pink and purple bottles are YELLOW/ORANGE!!! NOT clear like the picture depicts! I tried replacing the first order I received, thinking it was a fluke, but the replacement that came also has yellow/orange straws!! This is literally a baby shower gift for my sister in law, and now she’s going to open this so confused like I was! It sounds petty, but the picture in the listing should match the merchandise! The clear straws are cuter—the yellow/orange looks cheap (and they’re rubbery noodles; not plastic like how the picture looks)??

Ugly Orange Straw
Not sure why mine came with the ugly orange straws and others reviewers did not. You should probably update the listing picture because I would not have ordered knowing it would look like this as petty as that sounds. I might look into ordering whatever the “sporty straw” is.

Too many pieces to clean
I used TT bottles for my baby and loved them so I didn't hesitate to buy these when my baby was ready for them. However I've been disappointed with these straw cups. The idea is nice, but there are too many pieces to clean. It's time consuming to disassemble them and wash them thoroughly. As a mom of 3 kids, time is everything and if you're running late in the morning, and forgot to clean them the night before, forget it, you'll definitely be out the door much much later. There are other straw cups out there with less pieces to clean.

Disappointed
I liked the flexible straw (although it stains easily if you put juice in the cup) handle, basic design and ease to take apart and dishwasher safe. However, they’re too easy for my toddler to unscrew and they leak.

These cups are seriously the best! We’ve tried basically every cup under the sun - straw cups, sippy cups, everything- and my son (11 months) didn’t like any of them. Since we received this cup, she wants to use it over the other cups we own. This cup is very heavy duty. She as thrown it across the hardwood kitchen floor and it has held up and contained the liquids inside. It doesn't spill no matter which way you turn it and that is a win for us! This cup is easy to clean and does not seem to have areas that would trap any mold. My child loves the handles and this cup is perfect to take on the go. This cup also allows children to drink from any angle, which avoids frustration on their part. I would recommend this to any toddler moms! We LOVE TT products.

Best Straw Cup Ever!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been a fan of Tommee Tippee's products and this item is no exception. My daughter who is 1 year old loves using this straw cup. She is usually picky when it comes to bottles or cups, but took to the Tommee straw cup quickly and enjoys it with milk or water. I love that it has a great useful features such as weighted straw, leakproof, Bacshield, and is BPA Free! At 10 oz, it is just the right size for my daughter. We use the bottle in the house and when we go out. I would highly recommend this to all parents!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this to review and my toddler immediately loved it. The straw is soft silicone and the handles are great for little hands to hold. It includes the classic Tommee Tippee plastic and silicone attachment inside the lid. The small straw inside the cup was a bit tricky to clean as I felt like I might rip it when taking it off but other than that we had no complaints. My son is growing out of these kind of cups but we would purchase again for another baby.
