Tree Hut Jelly Bear Whipped Shave Butter - 7oz

I bought the jelly bear scent and it does smell good like sour candy, but the actual function is worse than just using soap. Soap or body wash provides better slip for me, so I will not be re-buying this shaving cream.

I have tried so many different shaving creams and oils and this one made my legs so incredibly itchy and raw and I had horrible razor burn. It is incredibly scented and while it does smell nice, I believe that that just causes even more irritation. I will not be using it anymore.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, I absolutely love this scent! I am not usually a "candy" scent lover, but it smelled just like a pack of gummies. That being said, I have never used the shave butter before - I usually use the Tree Hut shave oil. It was moisturizing and gave a great shave, but it also left a weird film feeling on my legs the way that some bar soaps do. I will definitely use the rest of this, but I am not sure if I would purchase it in this form once it's gone.

So bad. The product is so thin on the skin it doesn’t feel like there’s any shaving cream on at all. I don’t have sensitive skin, and this product gave me bumps after shaving. Also this product doesn’t smell like a gourmand vanilla I was expecting—it kind of stunk. All around I wouldn’t purchase again and threw it away after 2 uses.

The consistency is somewhat watery, if it were thicker it would be better since that way it would last longer on the skin if you are waxing in the shower. The aroma is exquisite, soft and strong but it does not still and therefore does not irritate my skin

However, its not all that hydrating/moisturizing. You also have to use more than you think for coverage on your legs, and even then it has a tendency to slide of causing you to waste more. It does smell pleasant though. I got a bottle of it complimentary in exchange for a review.

I don't usually get excited about shaving products, but Santal Haze Whipped Shave Butter honestly surprised me. The texture is the first thing I noticed — it's soft and airy, almost like a mousse, and it spreads so smoothly without feeling heavy or greasy. A little goes a long way. The scent is warm and slightly woody with that subtle sandalwood vibe, but it's not overpowering. It feels elevated and clean rather than perfumey, which I really appreciate especially first thing in the morning. Performance-wise, it gives great slip. My razor glides easily, and I've had way fewer nicks and irritation since switching. My skin feels noticeably softer after shaving, not tight or dry like it sometimes does with regular shaving cream. The whipped shave butter is easy to work into the skin. It does feel a bit oily when applied but smells divine. It makes shaving easy and smooth. My skin has been loving it and feels and looks more hydrated.

I did think though that the shave butter would foam or suds up more, like other shaving products, and it did have a tendency to slide away even if I wasn't directly under running water. The rose smell isn't too overpowering though, and if you're looking for something different than a shave foam or an oil it's worth a try. And it could possibly provide extra moisture during the shaving and showering process.
