New Larger Turtle Fur Beanie to Replace Older Universal Size
I have owned a universal size Turtle Fur beanie for many years and love it. The only problem is it was not quite large enough to cover all of my ears. So I ordered this new one in size large. It fits great but I am a little disappointed in the material. It is advertise as merino wool as my old one was and is, but this one is only 50% merino wool and 50% acrylic. Further the weave is not quite as tight and soft as my old Turtle Fur hat.

XL is best
My first two turtle fur beanies were very well made but they were one size fits all. It seemed they were always leaving half of my ears in the wind. I recently came across the Lars and saw XL, I simple had to try it. Perfection. If you have a large noggin this beanie will do the trick.

Good looking beanie
I like the looks but it's not as warm as I was hoping to. The top of the hat is not double-layered, which makes it best suited for mild cold weather and definitely not a windy weather.

Good fit
The circumference of my head with ears is 22 inches, and the regular size fits perfectly. It has a little more room on the top so I can pull the beanie down over my eyes when I'm walking into the wind.

Not impressed
I'm actually disappointed with the my new Turtle hat. I've had Turtle hats last 10 years because they seemly made things better back then to last. I understand that there's not a lot of profit with a product that's built to last. I feel this beanie is right up there with. Beanie description said fleece lined inside. This beanie only has a band around the forehead. Not described accordingly. Lined should be the entire inside. Material is much less than previous Fur hats I've had. I most likely, if this is where this companies standards are at will not recommend and or support again. Very disappointed.

Go-to winter hat
This is the third Lars hat I have purchased. This time the hat went to my husband. The hat size is ample and covers the ears well. We appreciate the soft interior headband--comfortable and warm. The Lars pattern is classic and beautiful--always fun to have new color combinations available each year too.

where are the large sizes???
I LOVE Turtle Fur hats! I have bought dozens, but my extended family seems to have borrowed almost all of them. I used to be able to find a few hats that fit my big head at the ski shop, but now almost all of your hats are too small? I loved my older Turtle Fur hats, but now they are all TOO SMALL! Except for one hat with dull colors, What happened to the large sizes??????
